Former campmate Danny Jones once issued a warning about his I’m A Celebrity co-star Maura Higgins.
Danny, 38, has made headlines alongside pal Maura, 34, this week after it was reported that they had a “drunken kiss” at a BRIT Awards after-party in London on the weekend. It comes amid his marriage to his wife Georgia Horsley, 38.
McFly member Danny and former Love Island finalist Maura – who have yet to publicly comment on the situation – had appeared together on the latest series of I’m A Celebrity. He won the ITV show, which ran from November to December last year, and Maura was voted out just days before the final.
During their time in camp together, Maura had teased that she once took revenge on an ex and Danny later warned against “crossing” his co-star. The scene, which has now resurfaced, was in an episode that aired in November.
Danny told viewers at the time: “Yeah, you don’t wanna mess with Maura.” Speaking in the Bush Telegraph after hearing about her apparent actions towards an ex, he then added: “Maura has got a side to her that you wouldn’t wanna cross.”
His comments came after Maura told him and their fellow campmate Jane Moore, 62, about her decision to sign up for Love Island. Maura said that she had a boyfriend at the time but was encouraged by a friend to investigate if he was “up to no good” before ruling out the reality TV show.

Maura then said that she ended up going through his phone, adding: “I didn’t have a clue who that man was.” She added: “I said ‘I’m gonna get revenge on him’. I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day, I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet]. He had a dentist appointment that day!”
She went on to say: “He had a jacuzzi outside and this is bad what I’m about to say – I considered taking a dump in it.” Asked why she didn’t, Maura laughed and said: “I thought it was a bit far. […] That’s a bit far for me. Yeah, even for me!”

The resurfacing of the clip comes after Danny was at the BRIT Awards on Saturday night. It was later claimed that whilst at Universal Music’s after-party, him and Maura shared a “drunken kiss” at 180 Studios on the Strand. Footage shared by the Sun appears to show Danny, who’s been married to his wife Georgia since 2014, having a kiss with Maura as they stood together. A source told the outlet that they “seemed to be having a great time,” adding: “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
Danny has been married to his wife Georgia, with whom he shares his seven-year-old son Cooper, for over ten years. Maura – who has broken her cover following the reports – had been romantically linked to Pete Wicks, 37, until weeks ago, with it reported last month that they had parted ways.
