Patrick Mahomes has gotten away with at least two huge calls, and Troy Aikman is sick of it.
NFL fans weren’t happy that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs benefitted from a questionable penalty against the Texans.
In the third quarter, a tackle of Patrick Mahomes caused flags to fly, as refs called a helmet-to-helmet personal foul hit on the Texans after the Chiefs quarterback was scrambling before he decided to slide.
It gave the Chiefs another first down, which would ultimately lead to a touchdown on the drive for Kansas City.
Troy Aikman was not happy.
“Oh, come on! I mean, he’s a runner. I could not disagree with that one more. He barely gets hit,” Aikman stated.
“The two Houston players hit each other. That should not have been a foul.” – Russell Yurk.
“They’ve gotta address it in the offseason…” – Aikman added.
Fans most certainly agreed with him.
“Same with Mahomes slowing up before going out of bounds then flopping for a penalty. Dudes should be allowed to blast him when he does that, but we know it’d be a flag,” one fan said.
“I mean, it’s pretty simple. The quarterback should be fair game at all times,” a second fan added.
“Aikman’s right,” a third fan added said of what Troy Aikman stated.
“It is freaking ridiculous. The refs have to see when he is flopping like that. It’s clear as day,” a fourth fan commented.
“Never really disliked the Chiefs until now. Ref’s bailing them out over and over, Mahomes flopping around like an English Premier League striker…😡,” one final fan stated.
Troy Aikman Not Afraid to Call Out The League
It has become a pastime for NFL fans to complain that the Kansas City Chiefs continue to get controversial calls.
On Saturday, it wasn’t just disgruntled non-Chiefs fans sounding off; it was also ESPN’s Troy Aikman.
Aikman has never been afraid to speak his mind and will continue to do so.
