Pearl Gonzalez knows how to sell a fight.

Gonzalez had a brief career in the UFC, which saw her go 0-2 overall. Perhaps hr most known moment was a breast implant fiasco. She would be released in 2020. It never stopped her from doing what she wanted to do.

During that year’s quarantine, she posted a series of pictures that showed her busting out of her shirt. Days later, she posted her cleavage to honor Memorial Day.

Since being released by the UFC, Pearl Gonzalez has fought under a number of promotions. She signed for all-female fight promotion Invicta Fighting Championships. Gonzalez fought at Strawweight and Flyweight. She had 11 wins and six losses.

Gonzalez signed with Misfits Boxing in late 2025. She made her debut this month.

Former UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez wanted to sell her next fight, and she did that very well. She recently stripped down to an outfit never seen before just to give her weight.

Pearl rocked a bright yellow and black caution-striped outfit for a Misfits boxing match. The only thing visible was on her was a tattoo on her back and her midsection. After weighing in, she showed her muscles and smiled.

Gonzalez showed that she is way more than just her looks. A new Misfits champion was crowned following a clash of debutants. On December 20, Gonzalez and Tai Emery faced off for the promotion’s women’s middleweight title. Both women wanted to have a strong showing. They immediately engaged in a brawl following the opening bell.

Pearl Gonzalez then took control of the fight. She produced cleaner work throughout the bout. Gonzalez secured the middleweight belt with two scores of 49-46 and one 50-45.

Mistletoe knows he still had the X Factor after the show judges worked out who was behind his costume very quickly on The Masked Singer: Christmas Special tonight.

This Morning host Dermot O’Leary, 52, won the competition after performing two songs and secretly taking vocal lessons, but Jonathan Ross clocked who was behind the mask early on. And later host Joel Dommett even accidentally blurted out his name after hearing him laugh, in a show first.

Looking back Dermot recalled: “I laughed at something that Jonathan said and Joel went immediately ‘that’s Dermot’. The whole thing felt quite giddy because it’s a Christmas special, but I think by then, the cat was pretty much out of the bag, to be fair. Everyone else had pretty much guessed me, so I don’t think Joel made that much of a boo boo.”

Asked about winning and being officially unmasked as champion, Dermot said: “It felt good. But I think everyone knew it was me by that point. I was performing ‘Fairytale of New York’ which is a great song and I think the song probably won it for me if I’m honest. I sang that and ‘Last Christmas’ in the final.

“It’s weird because you never know who you’re up against. The production is so secret about everything! You don’t see them afterwards, you don’t mingle with the other cast. That’s it. I was like, I’m not a spy, I can meet everyone! But it’s so secretive. They do it well. It was a bit of a relief to be unmasked in the end! My costume was incredible but quite heavy.

“Everyone knew it was me. I think they said it was mainly because of my legs! Not my voice, my legs! I was like, why has Jonathan Ross been looking at my legs?

“Jonathan got me straight away. I guess I moved a lot and I have been known to dance a bit on previous shows so maybe that gave me away as I’ve just got the one dance!”

Dermot’s legs were pretty visible on Saturday nights for years when he hosted The X Factor and became known for some tight trousers as well as his dance routines to open the live shows back in the day.

Now he is better known for fronting other TV shows including Five’s NFL coverage and on Saturday Nights after his Radio 2 show could well be at home with wife Dee and their son Kasper.

The host was looking forward to his son seeing him on the show and said: “He is only five so he knows TV. He has seen The Masked Singer a few times and knows that people sing and wear masks and stuff. I started to filter it into his world back in November so he can get a bit surprised when he sees me.

“He watches me on the telly, although he gets a bit shy when he sees me on screen which is so cute, but it’s natural for him to see me on telly because he doesn’t know any different. I think he thinks everyone is on telly basically.”

Dermot says he found it hard to keep his appearance a secret on the show but took it very seriously, including getting proper training. “I didn’t really tell anyone,” he said before altering his answer slightly.

“Well I must confess, I did tell Alison Hammond because she had done it before and I got her advice: ‘Go for it, you’re going to love it. And practice’.

“But it was difficult, especially the closer it got to Christmas and the show was going to air. Everyone that I have spoken to that has done it, has had a great time doing it. And I think that was part of why I said yes.

“Also I love the secrecy and the subterfuge to a point. I did costume fittings back in the summer and I started doing vocal coaching then too.

“Actually that was the other part to saying yes to it. This was just a bit of fun, but you’re also learning a little bit of skill. You’re sitting down with a vocal coach and going through stuff and improving. It was great doing my homework. I’d be walking around my kitchen singing Last Christmas in June and July!”

The vocal coaching paid off and Dermot ended up winning the show, but it was not plain sailing by any means. Giving an insight into the difficulties he and other stars faced dressed up as things like Figgy Pudding and Santa’s Sack, he added: “I had no vision at all. It’s quite claustrophobic and it’s quite tight in the costume. Which is fine as long as you deal with that.

“You’re also terrified of falling over. There was one time I had to walk from the back of the stage to the front, around a table, and there was quite a big drop off the stage quite near it. It’s a weighty costume as well. It’s not easy. And I like to dance as well!

“It was actually quite nice because I’m used to talking for a living and in this show, people aren’t allowed to talk to you. So you are on your own with your thoughts which is quite weird.”

Asked where this ranks on his TV and career achievements, Dermot is clearly proud of winning the show. “It’s up there man!” He admitted. “I’m not an overly competitive person in terms of things like this but at the same time you want to do well. I’m a great silver medalist in life. I don’t want to finish last but I’m not that bothered about winning everything right? But the fact you’re able to and you do, it’s really lovely.”

Two feuding Strictly Come Dancing stars have “no way of coming back.” Nancy Xu was seen looking far from impressed last weekend when it emerged that Carlos Gu had won the series with Lioness Karen Carney.

The 34-year-old who once classed Carlos, 32, as a lifelong friend has been at the centre of a feud with him since last year amid claims that the pair had fallen out. But as Carlos looked overjoyed, having won the show, everybody seemed happy for him – apart from Nancy.

Now, sources claim that there is “no coming back” for the pair, who were childhood friends. But in the past, Carlos has insisted that there has been no feud between them; instead, he stated that “friends argue”.

“It was painfully obvious that Nancy was the only person not completely elated about Carlos’s win,” a source told The Sun. They went on to add: “Everybody was hoping the pair had put their issues behind them, but the feud is more potent than ever. It’s a real shame she couldn’t even feign happiness.

“The fear is that there will be no coming back from that reaction, and the divide between them will just continue to grow.” Last year, the two dancers unfollowed one another on social media, and there were reports that they had refused to speak to one another.

Carlos was said to be gutted he didn’t get a partner for the 2024 series of Strictly, while Nancy was focusing on her partner, Shayne Ward. But Carlos dismissed the speculation, saying: “We’re fine. We’ve been friends since childhood, and friends argue, we’re too close and are like brother and sister to completely fall out.”

This year, however, it was Nancy who missed out on a celeb partner. She later told fans she was “disappointed” by the news. Speaking on social media, she said: “In the very, very beginning, when I just received the messages, it did upset me, and I did feel disappointed.

“Coming from China, arriving in this country, all I wanted was to achieve my dream. Strictly has given me such a big platform to allow me to show my skills, show my talent. Of course, I [felt left out] this year, but I’m good. Because I’m still part of the Strictly family.

“This year, you will possibly hear my voice more than ever because I will give all my energy to supporting my Strictly family. I will be there cheering for them. Also, you will see me on It Takes Two, Morning Live – those are good things.”

Meanwhile, Carlos opened up this year, explaining that he had been “self-centred” before being partnered with Karen. He went on to explain that he wasn’t grateful to have a partner last year due to this.

“Nancy fully believes she deserved a partner, and so does everyone else, so they thought it was unfair that Carlos said that when everyone knows it’s just up to the producers and the celebs that series if you end up with someone,” a source said. They went on to claim that Carlos’ comments appeared to be a dig towards his former friend.

And Nancy’s apparent swipe at Carlos last week didn’t go unnoticed on social media either. One fan said: “Could Nancy even attempt to hide her dislike for Carlos?” A second penned: “If you don’t like him then stay out of camera shot and keep your feelings to yourself.”

The Mirror has approached Nancy’s spokesperson for comment.

The Masked Singer is one of her wackiest TV shows ever made, so it’s no surprise there have been some shocking moments over the years.

Since the British version, hosted by Joel Dommett, premiered back in 2020, viewers have been gripped as they try to work out the famous faces behind the mask.

So, with the Christmas special airing today (December 26), ED! is taking a look back at the show’s wildest moments, both in the UK and overseas in the States. Hold on tight, there have been some, erm… crackers!

Macy Gray walks off The Masked Singer

Singing legend Macy Gray appeared on the UK version of the ITV show earlier this year as Toad in the Hole. After just two appearances on the show, she was sent packing after landing in the bottom two alongside Bear, who was later revealed as British rapper Example.

Host Joel Dommett tried to keep the show going and admitted: “This has never happened before,” after Macy immediately walked off. When she finally returned and revealed herself, reportedly a good hour later, the Grammy Award winner appeared visibly upset and annoyed about the situation.

10 months later, Macy explained why she decided to throw a strop for millions to see. She said on the GRIND 365 podcast: “I’m up there, singing my heart out and they picked a guy and the guy couldn’t even sing. It was like: ‘What am I doing here?’”

Rita Ora’s exit

Pop star Rita Ora first joined The Masked Singer panel back in 2020. And, after a few series of very wacky guesses, in 2024, it was announced that Rita would not be returning due to joining the panel on the US version. Charming!

As a result, show bosses brought in Love Island host Maya Jama to replace Rita – and fans couldn’t be more pleased with the switch-up. “Maya Jama is just phenomenal,” one user wrote on X at the time.

Someone else wrote: “I can’t think who Maya Jama has replaced on #MaskedSingerUK, but I already much prefer her!” Talk about a burn!

A third chimed in: “I wasn’t blown over by her casting, but Maya Jama has been such a refreshing addition to the panel!”

Now, the gorgeous presenter is a bonafide darling of Saturday night TV!

The Masked Singer’s costume disaster

Back in 2022, the character McTerrier suffered a major blunder while on the US version of the show.

After they performed Loverboy’s Working for the Weekend, things took an awkward turn when McTerrier stumbled and their character’s head flew off and landed on the stage.

The person behind the mask was left scrambling to try and conceal their identity – which, somehow, they managed to do. However, it was eventually revealed that Food Network host Duff Goldman was behind the mask.

Not sure we’d have recognised Duff if McTerrier had jumped up and bitten us on the bum!

Back on our side of the pond, judge Davina McCall shocked fans when she was unveiled as Star during the Christmas Special last year.

Host Joel Dommett was joined by regular panelists Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan. Meanwhile, iconic comedy duo Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders sat in for Davina and Maya Jama.

Star showed off their vocals to festive tunes Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and This Christmas. But in the biggest surprise of the night, Star was revealed to be judge Davina McCall. Joel previously joked that she wasn’t on the panel due to “diarrhoea”.

Mickey Rourke rips of mask

Controversial Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke appeared on the US version of the show in 2020. He ended up becoming the first star in the show’s history to voluntarily unmask himself.

On the show, he was behind the Gremlin costume. But three minutes after performing Ben E King’s Stand By Me, hellraiser Mickey decided to take off his costume.

As he pulled at his mask, Mickey told Stateside host Nick Cannon: “I wanna take this off right now.” This caused everyone to beg him to stop. Nick insisted: “Gremlin, you can’t do that! It’s not that part of the show yet!”

He went on: “We’ve lost control! It’s the Gremlin’s show!” Mickey then yanked off his mask.

We’ve got to say, after his Celebrity Big Brother appearance, it’s probably one of his tamer TV moments!

This year’s Christmas special

The 2025 Christmas special promises to bring more fun to the festivities, as viewers – and the panel – attempt to guess who’s behind the mask.

After that, the new series of the show begins, with a whole host of new stars – and even two bands – competing for the 2026 title. That starts on January 3 on ITV1.

In the meantime, the Masked Singer Christmas special airs on Friday (December 26) at at 7.30pm on ITV1.

As Boxing Day arrived, viewers could look forward to watching four famous faces take to the stage and compete undercover in elaborate costumes, keeping their true identities hidden in The Masked Singer.

Unwrapping this year’s Christmas characters, Mistletoe, Goose A-Laying, Figgy Pudding, and Santa’s Sack performed some festive songs to the panel of superstar detectives.

Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan have returned for the glitz and glamour of the festive season, with Maya replacing previous judge Rita Ora last year.

Viewers are in for a treat with the guests this Christmas special. Pantomime favourite Christopher Biggins will be sporting a patchwork dress, purple tights and a bright red wig for the season.

Basil Brush will be giving comedian Mo Gilligan a run for his money as he’ll be ready to crack some jokes on the festive panel. Lesley Joseph will also be making an appearance, as well as Su Pollard.

Mistletoe was the first star to go on stage as they sung Fairytale of New York, a festive classic. When it came to the clues, Mistletoe teased: “I will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth… You might be hoping I’m a regular motormouth, but these lips are sealed!”

Viewers, the panel and judges were all in agreement over who the star could be – This Morning presenter Dermot O’Leary. Joel said: “That’s definitely Dermot” after the performance before quickly adding, “or is it…” causing the audience to erupt in laughter.

Maya Jama added: “Dermot loves a little dance, and those legs were hopping and skipping, they were vibing all around the place!”

On X (formerly known as Twitter), viewers had the same train of thought. @iamfabio wrote: “Mistletoe is Dermot, for sure!” as @tncargill added: “Definitely dermot, I only heard a couple of lines, and I was convinced!”.

@toryshaun penned: “Surely that’s Dermot O Leary in the first Masked Singer” as @mythicalmia echoed: “back on my masked singer bullshit (christmas edition) and mistletoe is 100% dermot o’leary you can just hear it in his voice, plus the jingle clue and irish accent it’s all there”.

Last year, the winner of The Masked Singer UK Christmas Special 2024 was Holly Johnson, the frontman of 80s band Frankie Goes to Hollywood, who performed as Nutcracker.

He beat other contestants, including Davina McCall (Star) and Josie Gibson (Christmas Cracker), to be crowned the festive champion.

After his win, Holly lifted off his mask and shared: “I’ve enjoyed performing, I don’t ever have to do panto now,” before performing for the first time unmasked.

For those of us who look forward to The Masked Singer Christmas special every year, Boxing Day was a treat for viewers as four new celebrities took to the stage in the hopes of being the final one to be unmasked.

Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Mo Gilligan have returned for the glitz and glamour of the festive season, with Maya replacing previous judge Rita Ora last year.

Presenter Joel Dommett also returned to fulfil his role on the ITV show, but made a blunder after the first performance as he stated: “It’s definitely Dermot O’Leary” following Mistletoe’s song.

After the first head to head, however, it was time for one star to be unmasked in front of the judges and the audience. After a vote, it was Goose-A-Laying who was to be eliminated.

Everyone was in shock when Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman lifted off her mask, before naming Joel as a Ryan Gosling lookalike.

It was then the next reveal, and Figgy Pudding managed to defeat Santa’s Sack in the second voting round. The judges placed their final guesses, with Roman Kemp, Charlene White and Lord Alan Sugar called out.

However, as the audience chanted “take it off” it was children’s television presenter and Baroness Floella Benjamin who stood upon the festive stage.

As soon as the judges saw, Davina exclaimed: “I am so sorry I called you Lord Alan Sugar!” as Floella laughed in response. When asked how she feels, Floella admitted: “It was absolutely wonderful. You know, I love singing.

“It’s a joe for me to come onto the show and sing my heart out. I was really quite surprised that you didn’t guess me! I thought you would have guessed it by my voice.”

She then gave a performance unmasked, and viewers were equally as shocked that Floella was on the ITV show. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), @lisajon64241298 wrote: “It’s the mother of childhood TV”.

@kingofsunshine penned: “Dame Floella! What a legend” as @michellepryde added: “Floella Benjamin. Never would have got her in a million years unless we had longer to watch”.

Last year, presenter Joel Dommett was surprised with a giant version of himself on the Christmas special. He shared: “My wife has said that I’m not allowed to keep it because we don’t have space, so I have told her that we need to buy a marginally bigger house.

“Maybe we can turn it upside down and turn it into a really cool laundry bin or something.” He added: “I actually haven’t shown my family yet! I’m excited for them to see it. The only thing weirder than watching your son on the telly is watching a big version of your son on telly standing next to your son on telly!”

GB News fans were up in arms as anchor Patrick Christys took aim at King Charles after his Christmas Day speech. The star – who is married to fellow GB News host Emily Carver – took to X yesterday (December 25) but risked the ire of his regular supporters as he hit out at the monarch’s “meaningless word salad”.

Christys wrote: “Bit of a meaningless word salad from King Charles there. Liked the bit about remembering veterans, but found the rest of his Christmas message a bit pointless. What do you think?” His fellow GB News colleague Adam Brooks seemed to agree, writing: “Didn’t watch the King’s speech, I’m really not a fan tbh.

Fans weren’t happy, however, as one fumed in the replies section: “Despite his best efforts, poor Patrick can’t find anything specific in the speech to cry about, so ‘a bit pointless’ will have to do.”

Someone else said: “Nothing says Merry Christmas like going on Twitter to slag off the annual speech from our monarch.”

However, others seemed to agree with Christys, as one said: “Pointless is correct… time for William and Kate to lead the Royal Family.”

Another said: “I miss Queen Elizabeth II.”

“Much ado about nothing. No message really,” a third echoed.

“I mean, I’m over 10 years older than him,” Shona said honestly. “At first everything felt a bit difficult because of that. But we just had the same energy level — we were both hyper and silly — and that’s why we got on.”

💬 Aitch Breaks His Silence About Shona

Friends of the rapper say Aitch has also been opening up privately about how important Shona became to him during the show.

“At first I was honestly worried because she’s quite a bit older than me,” he reportedly shared. “But the more time we spent together, the less that mattered. She understood me in a way that not many people do.”

He went on to say that Shona was the person who made him feel safest in camp.

“There were days I felt overwhelmed and just wanted to shut down,” Aitch admitted. “But Shona was always there — checking in on me, joking with me, pulling me out of my own head. I don’t really know how to label it… I just know I care about her in a special way.”

He concluded: “We’re not rushing to define anything. I just want to keep getting to know Shona and see where things go.”

💛 A Bond That Didn’t End When The Jungle Did

Shona finished behind runner-up Tom Read Wilson and eventual King of the Jungle AngryGinge, but viewers noticed how visibly emotional she became when Aitch was eliminated in fourth place.

Since returning to the UK, the pair have stayed in close contact. Shona revealed that this year’s cast has formed a private WhatsApp group and speak daily.

“We’re all going to keep in touch,” she said. “That’s the beautiful thing about this experience — you really do make friends for life. I used to think the whole ‘big family’ thing was just a saying, but now I believe it. These people are my family.”

Sources close to the show say Shona and Aitch have been quietly checking in on each other, taking things slowly and allowing their connection to develop naturally without pressure.

🎶 More Than Just Jungle Memories

During her Lorraine appearance, Shona also spoke about her yodelling — a skill that became a surprise hit in camp.

“It’s something I do at home,” she laughed. “I learned it during lockdown. It’s just a little party trick.”

But it was her honesty about anxiety that resonated most deeply with fans.

“My anxiety has been up and down for as long as I can remember,” she said in her exit interview. “But in here I’ve learned so much about myself. It’s been a healing process.”

Shona also revealed she is keen to explore presenting work alongside acting, explaining that she wants to try “a bit of everything” in the next chapter of her career.

As for Aitch, he has remained mostly out of the spotlight since the show ended — but those close to him say he is still very much in touch with Shona.

New York Yankees star infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is seemingly having a blast during the 2025-26 MLB offseason. The veteran spent Christmas in Finland with his girlfriend, Ahnalys Santiago, and they seem to be too comfortable in the European country.

While some try to find a replacement for Chisholm on the Yankees, the player continues to have fun abroad. He wore matching pajamas with Santiago, picking Dr. Seuss’ character, the Grinch, for their onesie. The couple shared a series of pictures and videos on Instagram to celebrate Christmas, including a video of Santiago dancing up on Chisholm, while the player had fun with it.

On Dec. 17, ESPN’s Jeff Pasan and MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch reported that Jazz Chisholm Jr. is available on the trade market. The Yankees aren’t reportedly actively shopping him, but it seems that every option is on the table ahead of the 2026 free agency.

A potential trade to the Philadelphia Phillies could be in the cards for the Yankees, with Alec Bohm and right-hander Orion Kerkering finding their way to New York. Chisholm had a solid 2025 season, recording a 126 wRC+, 75 runs, 80 RBI, 58 walks, and 4.4 fWAR, which earned him a Silver Slugger.

This can be a huge move for Philadelphia and New York, but there is still time to see if their front office decide to do business with one another.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is being criticized on social media after getting his teammates gifts.

Love is on a $220 million contract that pays him a cool $55 million a year. So he’s expected to be able to afford the best luxuries.

He’s also expected to spread the wealth among his teammates, especially his offensive line, every Christmas. However, it’s been revealed that all he got them were Nike Dunks.

Most people would be happy to receive a pair of Dunks for Christmas, but NFL players are a different breed. Many of them get free threads and kicks, and some even get paid to wear them.

When your QB is making $55 million a year, Dunks won’t cut it. Brock Purdy splurged on Rolexes for his O-line this season; Caleb Williams also broke the bank.

Even Love’s own teammate, Josh Jacobs, spent over $100K on diamond necklaces for his O-line last season. What’s more, Jacobs makes $12 million a year.

So yeah, Love is getting crushed on social media because of this. Fans certainly understand him refusing to pay a random guy’s alcohol tab. Being miserly when it comes to his own teammates? Not so much.

“tell that brother he can do better, come on😂,” one wrote.

“No wonder why his OL doesn’t protect him🤦🏻‍♂️,” another claimed.

There were fans who spoke up in his defense, however.

One user declared, “Pretty sure the other millionaires can buy their own stuff.”

“His money, and smart not spending it all as soon as he gets it.  His teammates should be grateful for the gift,” said another.

Meanwhile, Love is focused on getting back on the field after suffering a concussion against the Chicago Bears last week.

The injury somehow made him the subject of memes, and now he’s taking heat for his gift-giving decisions.
