Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow have silenced feud speculation in a recent social media post. The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram Stories to repost a video taken by Gwyneth. In the video Gwyneth was replying to a question sticker asked by a fan. The question read: “Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?”
Gwyneth said: “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever.” Panning the camera to Meghan, Gwyneth asked her: “Do you understand this?,” to which Meghan shrugged her shoulders suggesting that she doesn’t. The pair then broke into laughter as they sat at the table together.
This comes after Gwyneth opened up about her true feelings for Meghan, after the Duchess faced harsh criticism following the release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and how she planned on befriending the former Suits actress.

The Duchess of Sussex shared her latest partnership with the streaming platform earlier this month – an eight part series, featuring a string of fames faces including Mindy Kaling and her Suits co-star, Abigail Spencer, who played Dana ‘Scottie’ Scott.
With Love, Meghan is a Netflix lifestyle series that premiered on March 4, 2025. In each of the eight episodes, Meghan invited friends and celebrity guests to her California estate. Together, they engage in activities like cooking, gardening, and hosting, sharing practical tips and personal stories.

Meghan put an end to the speculation by saying she doesn’t know where it’s coming from
Throughout the series, Meghan gave fans an insight into her favourite recipes as well as sharing rare insights into her family life with husband Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But while Gwyneth and the Sussexes are neighbours and reside in the same community in Montecito, California, the pair were compared to one another due to her lifestyle brand, Goop.
Despite the comparisons, Gwyneth was paying no attention to it and even recently shared her plans to befriend Meghan and her husband, Harry, who in 2020, announced they would be leaving the UK for a more financially independent life in California. “I don’t know Meghan and Harry,” she said in a new interview.
The Avengers star went on to tell Vanity Fair: “I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all. Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.” At the time of the interview, the actress hadn’t seen With Love, Meghan – but she admitted that there is no competition between herself and the former actress.

When she notices the comparison between herself and other women, Gwyneth admits that she has a “strong instinct to stand up for them,” due to the “culture” they are in. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she added to Vanity Fair. While many have slammed Meghan’s series, it’s believed that the Duchess has been left “devastated and hurt” by the negative reception it has received.
Gwyneth also sparked speculation of a feud after posting a makeup-free breakfast video, with fans accusing her of subtly “throwing shade” at Meghan. Gwyneth filmed herself making scones, bacon, and eggs in her kitchen while wearing casual striped pyjamas and going make-up free.
Fans quickly realised the track “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole was playing in the background, a song also used in promos for Meghan’s own Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Some fans were quick to point out the timing of Paltrow’s video, coming closely after Meghan’s series, which launched earlier this month.
Fans quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their thoughts, with many suggesting that Gwyneth was deliberately positioning herself as more authentic and relatable. One fan tweeted: “Gwyneth Paltrow continues to throw shade & I’m here for it! No makeup in her actual kitchen!” Another fan pointed out the similarity in music choices.
