GB News host Ellie Costello made the surprise announcement that she is to marry her French boyfriend this weekend.

GB News’ Ellie Costello is set to tie the knot with her French fiance in Britain on Saturday (April 12), before heading over to France later to continue the party. The broadcaster broke the news to co-star Stephen Dixon after he claimed an “uncoupling” trend could sweep the UK, with Brits abandoning their “winter-time loves” to get someone more “ripped” in time for the summer.
A hilarious moment ensued as Ellie shot back: “I hope not! I’m getting married tomorrow!” She added that she “couldn’t relate” at all to the new trend. The host also teased that a religious ceremony is for her, quipping that she’s putting “the lord before the law”.
An excited Stephen asked whether she’d say her vows in France, but she jokingly shot back that “the French don’t like the Brits”. “You have to sign the documentation [in the UK] first and then we go to France to have the party!” she shared.

The Essex-born presenter has been notoriously tight-lipped about her romance in the past, refusing to reveal the mystery man’s name or face even in a 2023 social media post which confirmed their engagement.

The attached photo showed the pair on a boat at sunset, their faces illuminated by an orange glow – but their faces were turned away from the camera.
Her comments to Stephen this morning might be the most candid and revealing ones she has ever made about her romance.

Her announcement follows rumours that she was dating celeb pal Peter Andre, whom she met when he guest-hosted the show alongside her two years ago.
However, the pair merely had a firm friendship, with her describing working with him as an “absolute joy”.
Ellie was congratulated this morning by her co-stars as she looks forward to the big day.
