It’s fair to say David Muir stressed out his ABC World News Tonight viewers during Wednesday’s show.

The 51-year-old took to the air for Wednesday’s installment of the long-running news show before interrupting it for a breaking news announcement about the 7.3-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Alaska earlier that day.

Addressing viewers, David began, “An earthquake that struck late today, right off Alaska, 7.3 magnitude quake right off the coast, triggering a tsunami warning across some 700 miles. In fact, families were warned to move to higher ground. Let’s get right to ABC News. Kayna Whitworth, with the images coming in and Kayna, what do we know so far?”

The show then cut to Kayna, who was reporting live from outside the studio. She declared, “Yeah, David, that 700 miles you mentioned there runs along the southern coast of Alaska, as well as the Alaskan Peninsula.

    Kayna Whitworth

“And this happened after a magnitude 7.3 earthquake was recorded off the coast. It actually struck about 50 miles south of Sand Point. So people there, David, are bracing for large waves, residents and visitors racing to higher ground or moving further inland, if they can.

“Tremors from the earthquake were felt throughout the region also alarms were sounding in some of those larger communities like Kodiak but also David here mentioning that the warning was downgraded to an advisory and then that was canceled.”

David thanked Kayna for her report before moving onto other pressing news stories from the day.

A clip of the breaking news segment was shared to ABC World News Tonight’s official Instagram account, where fans expressed their concerns.

The account added some further details in the caption, sharing, “A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Sand Point, Alaska, triggering the NWS to issue a tsunami warning. The warning was later downgraded to an advisory, according to the agency, but was later canceled. @KaynaWhitworth has the latest.”

“Wicked weather. May God help us,” wrote one seemingly worried fan as another speculated, “Something major is coming, fault line in California is moving, be ready everybody, prayers for everybody.”

A third pointed out, “Iceland erupted today as well. The ring of fire has been very active and we can expect to see some movement through August for sure.”

While a fourth fan dramatically commented, “3nd of the w0rld, is all that comes to mind,” and a fifth said, “Praying for Alaska,” followed by a love heart emoji.

And a sixth urged, “If you know where you’re going, you will never worry about things like this. Why worry about “WHAT IF”? Just a Waste of time.”

3 Reasons Why Patrick Mahomes Is Still the NFL’s #1 – Even Without a Championship!

We still have a few days to go before mandatory training camps and a new NFL season. However, Patrick Mahomes is already at the top of all the lists, and everything indicates that he will continue to grow.

As Qiant “Your Boy Q” Myers and Andscape analyst David Dennis Jr. said on Tuesday on ESPN Radio’s “GameNight,” the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is the “new” face of the NFL heading into the 2025 season.

The host did not hesitate for a second to say that Mahomes is the best player in the NFL: “Number one is still the guy until he’s replaced by someone else, and that’s Patrick Mahomes.”

Even when he may take a slight step back, and maybe the gap between number one quarterback and number two isn’t quite as large as it used to be, he’s still Patrick ,” he said.

These words come after ESPN recently released its annual list of the league’s best quarterbacks, based on the results of surveys of executives, scouts, and coaches in the sport. There, the Chiefs quarterback ranked number one and Josh Allen ranked second, although some believe that the Buffalo Bills star could soon take that spot away from him.

Myers backed up his position by saying that “every team in the league has been looking for their Patrick Mahomes” since he arrived and led all categories. Dennis Jr. did not disagree, but supported his statements by adding that the visibility and strength of the 29-year-old quarterback is something to be highlighted and that not everyone has achieved.

Whenever you are somebody who is in the Super Bowl every year, you’re probably going to be facing the league. Can’t count how many ads he’s been in. All that stuff. Uh, Patrick Mahomes. Can’t argue.”

    Mahomes’ legacy

The truth is that this year, Pat came very close to becoming a three-time champion and making history in the league. And even though the Philadelphia Eagles got in the way and snatched Kansas City’s dream of winning Super Bowl LIX, reaching the final three times in a row is already an achievement. Or at least it’s a merit worth highlighting.

And although it wasn’t his best season since 2018, he finished the year with 3,928 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

As if that weren’t enough, the quarterback is preparing to start his ninth year in the league, and his three Super Bowl rings (LIV, LVII, LVIII), three Super Bowl MVP awards, and two NFL Most Valuable Player awards (2018 and 2022) are proof of his dynasty.

And if the Super Bowl loss has only whetted his appetite for victory, everything indicates that he will do whatever it takes to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy once again and remain the face of the Chiefs and the NFL.

GMA's Ginger Zee stuns fans in sensational figure-flattering dress on the air | HELLO!

Ginger Zee, the chief meteorologist for Good Morning America, is raising her two sons — Adrian (9) and Miles (7) — to be thoughtful and environmentally aware, and possibly future meteorologists like herself.

During a recent Instagram Q&A, a fan asked if her kids were interested in weather. Ginger replied: “They both LOVE to read radar and forecast storm timing!”

She shared how she discusses eco-conscious choices with them daily. “My kids can’t take a bite of food without knowing where it came from,” she said. They focus on avoiding single-use plastics, selecting sustainable packaging, and even rewilding their backyard with native plants.

“The American obsession with perfect green lawns is incredibly wasteful,” she noted. “We’re trying to make natural yards the new standard.”

Ginger and her husband Ben Aaron have also decided to hide their children’s faces online since early 2023. “Our biggest concern is AI,” she explained. “It was never their choice, and it now feels like a violation of their privacy.” Ben added, “We didn’t want to be those parents chasing likes with our kids.”

While balancing full-time work with parenting has been challenging, Ginger openly shares those moments. In a post, she once described a hectic morning when childcare fell through, and she had to coordinate with her husband on the fly.

Still, Ginger remains deeply grateful for her role at GMA, calling it a privilege: “I grew up on a small farm in rural Michigan. Working here is something I don’t take for granted.”

“Thank You All For Everything – This may be my final glory at GMA” – Robin Roberts’ latest message leaves fans emotional and confused: Is she about to leave GMA?

Robin Roberts just reached the pinnacle of her career as a TV personality — and she’s celebrating it alongside someone she works very closely with.

For the last three decades, fans have seen Robin shine as a news anchor every weekday on Good Morning America. But that’s not all she’s accomplished, as she’s created her own production company, written books and pursued other ventures. Well, Los Angeles-based business organization the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (HCC) is now recognizing all the achievements Robin has made over the years in a very special way.

In an announcement made on July 2, the HCC revealed Robin and her GMA co-anchor George Stephanopoulos were both chosen to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026. And if that wasn’t enough, GMA‘s social team had to share the excitement about it in an Instagram post the same day.

“Our very own @robinrobertsgma and @gstephanopoulos are set to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! ⭐️,” the caption read. “They’re joining @michaelstrahan who received a star in 2023. Robin and George will be part of the new 2026 class of 35 entertainment professionals selected to receive stars by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Selection Committee. Congratulations to all!”

What an amazing time in Robin’s life to receive such an incredible honor! Clearly Robin is emotional about getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as she expressed her feelings about it in a video shared on GMA‘s Instagram page a day after the announcement.

“It’s just now sinking in,” she sated in the clip posted on July 3. “The Hollywood Walk of Fame! Oh my goodness. I am incredibly honored — and to be going with George! A double ceremony. It means so much. I gotta tell you — this little girl from Mississippi says thank you to all.”

UNBELIEVABLE – Fans turn their Eyes to the Flight with TODAY hosts Dylan Dreyer, Craig Melvin & Al Roker – What’s really going on?

During Friday’s Third Hour of The Today Show, Dylan Dreyer, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker shared a lighthearted and hilarious conversation about their in-flight snack habits.

It all started when Dylan jokingly exposed Craig: “You know Al always s1ts next to m3… because you won’t! – to which Craig responded, “Stop it!”, laughing.

Dylan moved on to Al’s snack rituals: “Flight attendants come around and before they even finish asking, Al’s like—[she mimics snatching snacks]!” Al defended himself with a grin: “I had two bags of Sunchips and two Biscoffs.” Craig teased him: “Why take th3m all?”

Dylan recalled a memorable flight from Orlando where, again, Craig avoided s1tting next to h3r, and Al was gifted a full sl33ve of c00kies. Craig added with a chuckle: “The flight attendant didn’t bring one or two. She brought 50! Al just went: ‘Thank you very much.’” Al responded in style: “Why insult their hospitality?”

The banter didn’t stop there. Dylan suggested, “You should crush all those cookies and make a lime pie crust.” Craig quipped, “It felt like they’d done it before—‘Al Roker’s here, bring him his sleeve of Biscoffs.’”

To which Al delivered the perfect ending: “It’s good to be me.”

Ginger Zee issues warning after obsessed fan claims they were emigrating to the US to marry the GMA star

Ginger Zee, longtime Good Morning America weather anchor, narrowly avoided being stranded in Chicago this week as severe st0rms, intense fl00ding, and strong winds swept across parts of the U.S.

She had traveled to Chicago to cover the chaotic weather and attend the 2025 Windy City Smokeout. Shortly after she returned to New York, more than 9,000 flights were delayed and nearly 800 were canceled, especially at O’Hare Airport. “Ginger got out just in time,” said her colleague Stephanie Ramos, who reported from the airport after her own flight was delayed multiple times and eventually scrapped.

On air, Rebecca Jarvis remarked: “Glad you made it back from Chicago yesterday, Ginger,” to which she replied: “Yes, me too.”

Despite the travel scare, Ginger praised Chicago, noting that her mother lives there. While rumors swirl about her possibly leaving GMA, she expressed excitement over their brand-new studio in Hudson Square: “LOVE IT! The vibe is amazing.”

Off-camera, Ginger and her husband Ben Aaron are raising their sons, Adrian (9) and Miles (7), with a strong environmental ethic. “We talk about sustainability every day. My kids can’t even eat something without knowing where it came from,” she said.

They are currently rewilding their yard, replacing manicured grass with native plants. “Traditional lawns waste water, fertilizers, and chemicals — we need to rethink that.”

She also revealed they’ve stopped sharing their children’s faces online: “AI risks made us change. It never felt like their choice.”
