TODAY Show: Dylan Dreyer BREAKS DOWN On Air Sharing her Bitter Life Defeat, Leaving Co-Hosts and Viewers Stunned!
Though it’s just an annual celebrity event, Dylan Dreyer has always seen it as more than fun and games. For her, every appearance at the American Century Championship is an opportunity to leave a meaningful mark and draw attention to charitable causes close to her heart.
That’s why finishing in last place this year wasn’t just a humorous moment her co-hosts joked about — it genuinely made her feel disappointed.
And as she opened up about it on air, viewers found themselves deeply moved.

Dylan Dreyer is getting ready to return to her usual seat on the 3rd Hour of TODAY after several mornings away from the NBC studio. She had been participating in the American Century Championship, a well-loved celebrity golf tournament held in Nevada.
As she makes her way back to New York, her co-host Al Roker jokingly noted on air: “She’s on her way back – after her fabulous last-place finish!” Kaylee Hartung playfully commented, “She’s nothing if not consistent,” while Craig Melvin quipped: “At least she ranked second… in karaoke.”

Fellow anchor Carson Daly also took part and came in 22nd place, while Dylan landed at number 90. Despite the low placement, Dylan shared how much she enjoyed the experience on Instagram, posting highlights from both on and off the golf course. She captioned: “One of the best parts of @acchampionship is all the fun that happens off the course! Boat rides, jersey swaps, connecting with friends and making new ones!”
Fans praised her effort, with one writing: “It’s nearly impossible to golf consistently while raising a family and working full-time. You make us proud!”
Dylan has been married to Brian Fichera since 2012, and they have three sons: Calvin (8), Oliver (4), and Rusty (3).
