Fans described an outfit choice Jennifer Lopez made at Wimbledon as “ridiculous” after pictures from the event emerged. The American singer, songwriter and actress was spotted enjoying the men’s singles final between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev on Sunday, 12th July, alongside numerous other celebrities and members of the Royal Family.
Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev in four sets to retain his Wimbledon title, putting his French Open disappointment firmly behind him to triumph at the All England Club, despite dropping the first set to the newly crowned champion at Roland Garros.

Yet as Lopez looked on, it emerged that her followers were outraged by her choice of one particular accessory for the occasion. Images emerged of Lopez appearing strikingly elegant in a sophisticated sleeveless midi wrap dress crafted from a lightweight, flowing fabric in a shade of beige and cream.
She completed the ensemble with a Ralph Lauren Collection RL 888 bag, a Cartier Tortue watch with a tonneau-shaped face and some strappy sandal-like heels.
The element of the outfit that drew criticism, however, was an oversized woven sunhat that kept her head, face and entire upper shoulders shielded from the sun.

The principal concern people had with the accessory was that it appeared to obstruct the view of several spectators seated directly behind her.
One person said: “That hat is ridiculous.”
A second said: “Why would anyone wear a hat like this to a match.”
A third added: “I will only accept critiques that address possible view-blocking for the folks behind her. Otherwise, the hat is perfect, she looks awesome.”
A fourth added: “@JLo this type of hat is inappropriate for such events! You should do your homework lady!”.
Princess Kate Middleton and Prince William made their customary annual appearances, beaming broadly throughout. Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined them, with the family seen laughing and thoroughly enjoying the occasion.
Prince Louis has yet to make his Wimbledon debut, though George and Charlotte have now attended the prestigious tournament alongside their parents on numerous occasions.
The family arrived together to watch Jannik Sinner’s match against Alexander Zverev on Centre Court, where they were greeted by a line-up of guests before taking their seats in the royal box.
During the introductions, British Wimbledon semi-finalist Arthur Fery extended an invitation to George and Charlotte to join him for a game of tennis, while William and Kate congratulated the player on his impressive run to the semi-finals and wished him a happy birthday, as he celebrated turning 24 yesterday.
Jennifer Lopez was seated next to Tom Hiddleston and behind Andrew Garfield, while elsewhere in the crowd were Anna Wintour, Nicole Kidman seated alongside Rami Malek, as well as fellow stars Mel B, Cynthia Erivo, Dustin Hoffman, Ben Stiller, Liam Hemsworth and Lily Collins.
