Love Island All Stars were treated to a soap opera in the first few minutes of the show airing on Thursday night.

The episode started with the fallout between Ekin-Su and Curtis after she felt betrayed by his flirty antics with bombshell Danielle. While he was chatting to the newcomer, Ekin-Su broke down crying and was comforted by her close pal Luca as she said: “Help me,” while asking him to tell her what she did wrong that made him pull away from her.

Luca informed her that Curtis felt like she wasn’t being her authentic self, which shocked her. In mere moments, Curtis and Ekin-Su walked off to have a chat, with the two ended up arguing about their new relationship. “Not everything is about you, unfortunately. That’s the way the cookie crumbles,” he said at one point.

After he told her he didn’t feel like she wasn’t being real, she said: “F**k you’. The other Islanders were watching in anticipation when the duo suddenly kissed and made up, with Ekin-Su caressing his face and telling him he’s ‘amazing’. The next morning, the Islanders remained confused and said they needed to ‘find out’ what happened.

Curtis also admitted he liked bombshell Danielle, saying she’s ‘down to earth’ but added that what he has with Ekin-Su is ‘deep’. Fans rushed to social media to share their confusion over the rollercoaster moment, with one user writing on X: “i’m actually so confused rn.” Another said: “Huh??” while one added: “This is cinema i’m crying man.”

One viewer commented: “This might be the funniest most confusing episode ever,” and another posted: “I thought we all came to watch love island and not an episode of Eastenders. I am confused.”

Ekin-Su, 30, and Curtis, 28, have been coupled-up on All Stars for almost two weeks. They have grown close since her arrival as a bombshell at the end of the launch episode and both suggested last week that they were “closed off”.

There was however tension between them on Wednesday night’s episode following the arrival of new bombshell Danielle Sellers, 29. She had to choose someone to join her in the Hideaway for an overnight stay and picked Curtis. Ekin-Su suggested that she hadn’t felt reassured by Curtis prior to heading off to meet Danielle.
