BREAKING NEWS: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just put final nail in coffin for huge British TV show

The Duke and Duchess became the focus of a new SNL UK sketch.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'Questioning Their Return to Britain'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been back in the UK for just over a month, and they’re already causing a stir in the UK. On Sunday night (September 13), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex became the focus of the season two premiere of Saturday Night Live UK. And with the stink they caused after Uganda’s withdrawal from the 2027 Invictus Games, I’m fearful that the Sky show is at risk of cancellation.

In the sketch, a relaxed King Charles (played by Larry Dean) and Camilla (Emma Sidi) are seen enjoying their weekend in the Highlands when Meghan (Ayoade Bamgboye) and Harry (Jack Shep) come barging in. “Daddy, I’m home,” an awkward Harry says. “Harry, what are you two doing here? This castle is for royals only!” declares Charles.

“Don’t tell me you’ve spent all your Netflix money already?” the monarch asks. “Daddy, it was $60 million. How long was it meant to last? I’m not asking for much, just a duchy or two.”

Harry replies, adding: “Daddy, just because I don’t want to be a royal doesn’t mean I want to be a regular guy.” The cheeky sketch made one thing blatantly clear: Harry and Meghan will not and cannot be taken seriously.

Since leaving the US in 2020, it feels like their world has descended into free fall. We watched on the world stage as they attempted several times to break into the Hollywood social sphere. And while it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the couple’s Netflix deal appears to be falling into the bin, too.

The Duchess’s reality series, With Love, Meghan, was scrapped after two series, and Harry’s Polo was canned after receiving lacklustre ratings. And with their failures magnified on the popular comedy show, I’m sure their limited connections will soon be put to work to get the show cancelled.

The light-hearted comedy show launched back in May and had a quietly successful run, prompting a second series which debuted this week. But with it still being in the early stages of success and actively working hard to grow an audience, its chances of survival could be blown to smithereens if Harry turns spiteful.

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Feel Driven Out

Across the pond, the show is known for poking fun at the world events and targeting politicians, world leaders and royals alike. In that room, titles and positions mean nothing, and anyone can become subject to a bit of light ribbing.

But as we’ve seen, Harry and Meghan don’t take well to jokes being made at their expense. In fact, in their self-titled 2022 Netflix documentary, they addressed their hurt feelings by trolls who poked fun at Meghan’s black and white dress she wore in her Oprah interview, with many comparing it to bird poo.

The image-obsessed royals are determined to fix their image in the media, no matter whether it does more harm than good. If they were to get the show cancelled, it would be just another reason for the British public to hate them, but that’s never stopped them before and leaves the show in rocky territory.

Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the couple take action into their own hands, but one thing’s for sure. Harry and Meghan are back to their old tricks again, and their reaction to the SNL sketch will only highlight its truth.
