Pregnant Michelle Keegan has revealed she’s looking forward to finally spending a summer at home after years of working abroad.
The actress, 37, revealed in December she’s expecting her first child with former TOWIE star husband Mark Wright, 38.
And in a new interview with Grazia, Michelle opened up on her husband’s support of her long-distance working, while also revealing plans to take a ‘chunk of time’ from her work commitments to focus on motherhood.
Since marrying in 2015, the couple have had periods apart due to filming projects, with Mark spending over a year in LA as the host of celebrity show Extra.
While Michelle has previously worked on projects in South Africa, Malaysia and Australia for shows including Ten Pound Poms and Our Girl.
She told the publication: ‘I’m going to take a good chunk of time off to enjoy being a mum. I’m never normally at home in the summer, I’ve always been away working, so I can’t wait.’

The stunner also revealed her husband is extremely supportive amid her stints of working away, with neither of them letting it come between them.
She added: ‘We never make each other feel bad about being away for work… we never let it affect our relationship.’
Michelle has been wrapping work on the seventh series of Brassic before heading on maternity leave.
It comes as Michelle surprised by her closest friends with what looked to be a baby shower on Sunday, as she prepares to to welcome her first child with husband Mark Wright.
The actress took to her Instagram Stories to share a glimpse of the intimate brunch thrown by her Northern pals at the Barnshaw Smithy restaurant in Mobberley, Cheshire.
She showed a snap of a rustic wooden table laden with white tapered candles and elegant glass vases, with an individual iced cookie and what appeared to be a little gift box tied with twine at each place setting.
Another hint in the elegant décor suggesting the get-together was to celebrate Michelle’s impending motherhood was the inclusion of many bunches of Baby’s-breath flowers – said to be so named because of they are a popular baby-shower gift.
Michelle captioned the snaps of the sweet gathering: ‘Cuuuuutest surprise brunch with my northern lot.’

She later revealed it had been her best friend Katie Fearnehough who had organised her special day, with the help of an event-planning company.
Voicing her gratitude, the Brassic star gushed: ‘How gorgeous?! You are the best @katiefearnehoughx @peonyeventsplanning’.
The following day Michelle was spotted heading out to get her hair done in Cheshire, while hiding her blossoming baby bump from view.
It comes after Michelle shared a slew of snaps from her ‘self-care January’ last week, as she showed how she’s taking care of herself during her pregnancy.
She posted a carousel of images, including her indulging in a spot of skincare by sporting a golden sheet mask, while wrapped up in a fluffy white dressing gown.

And she also treated her growing bump to a little pamper session as she snapped a picture of a bath running alongside a pregnancy care kit from Rochelle Humes’ brand My Little Coco.
She also included a snap of a treatment bed and tagged an aesthetics clinic, along with a clip of her and Mark, 38, enjoying a stroll together.
Michelle and Mark confirmed the happy news that they are expecting in a joint Instagram post in December, sharing a sweet photograph where Michelle cradled her blossoming bump.
They captioned the post: ‘2025 is going to be a special one for us…’
