TalkTV presenter Kevin O’Sullivan addressed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest on-screen debut. The couple executive produced the documentary Cookie Queens which failed to make a mark at the box office and has been dubbed a commercial flop. The broadcaster claimed the move would have tarnished their royal reputation in Hollywood. He commented, “In Hollywood, you are as successful as your last film. If your last film was a success you’re a success, but if you last film was a flop then you’re in trouble.”

Kevin continued: “Basically, this was their first ever big film release. The first film they produced onto the big screens. It was a disaster. What should they do now?” He suggested this “mega flop will taint their reputation in tinseltown”. Royal expert Kinsey Schofield advised the Sussexes disappear for awhile from a professional standpoint.

“I also stressed that Meghan is trying to be too many things to too many people at once,” she mused, “and if you are trying to be a podcast host, a lifestyle guru, a chef, her calligraphy. She wants to be the world’s best mum.”

Kinsey added, “When you try to be too many things at once you lose your authority across the board.”

Meghan, in particular, has tried her hand at multiple projects including podcasting, her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, and launching her As Ever brand.

The Spotify podcasting deal ended in 2023 — which made the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a whopping $20 million (£14million) — after only one season of her show, “Archetypes.” Netflix also ended their partnership with her in March.

There are also reports the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also set to produce the film Meet Me At The Lake as well as more polo projects.

Kinsey suggested they take a break from the projects and let someone else take the reins.

“That’s the only way Harry and Meghan can redeem themselves in this town,” the royal expert explained. “You have to let the success do the talking for you versus Harry and Meghan telling us what’s to come.”
