This Morning’s Ben Shepherd apologised to viewers during Monday’s instalment of the ITV show after TV chef Clodagh McKenna swore live on air.
The presenter, 50, and co-host Cat Deeley, 48, welcomed the Irish chef, 49, back to the kitchen in the studio to hear how she makes her spring leek and chicken filo pot pie.
The pair welcomed skipping influencer Lauren Flymen, Alison Smith and also spoke to the programme’s vet Dr Scott Miller.
During the episode Clodagh made her delicious pie live on air – but when some hot liquid split onto the side of the hob and onto her skin, she let out a naughty word.
Clodagh, who looked stylish in a white frilly shirt, denim dungarees and an Annoushka Loveometer charm around her neck, said: ‘Oh s***! That’s hot…’
Clodagh added: ‘Sorry. I did not say that bad word, did I?’

As she looked over at the crew, she continued: ‘Nobody heard me…’
Ben chimed in: ‘I’m not sure…
‘Apparently we have to apologise just in case. I was only talking about that this weekend.’
Cat chimed in: ‘It’s because she’s got her glasses on,’ and Ben agreed: ‘It’s the glasses!’
Unfortunately some viewers did catch on to what she said.
Some viewers watching at home rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out that they had heard her.
One said on the social media platform: ‘Yeah we all heard her #ThisMorning.’ Another added: ‘Yep we heard you.’
Clodagh joined the This Morning team in 2021.

The chef shared on her Facebook account at the time: ‘I’m SO happy to share with you all that I’ve officially joined the This Morning ITV family.
‘Lots of fun time’s ahead whipping you up delicious recipes with a large side order of fun!’
Meanwhile Cat and Ben have been presenters of This Morning since March 2024.
This isn’t the first time that someone has sworn live on air on the programme.
Last week fans gasped ‘did she just say that?!’ as Chelsea Dickenson screeched out a VERY rude word after falling to the ground in a botched ski demo.
Reporting from Zakopane in Poland, travel journalist Chelsea featured on the ITV daytime show hosted by Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
Known as the Cheap Holiday Expert, she explained how to bag a ski trip for just £250, describing how the resort has slopes, a spa, cheap beer, a water park and even a wax museum.
But things took a turn for the worse when she tried to show off her skiing skills live on air and it ended in disaster.
Donning a helmet and helmet, the reporter attempted to hit the slopes after saying ‘The Polish word for luck is ‘traf’ so you’ll have to wish me good traf here because I haven’t skied in a long time’.
‘Oh my goodness, I’m falling,’ she exclaimed before screaming as she tumbled down, appearing to swear ‘Oh f***’ multiple times before crashing into a fence.

Cat and Ben watched on from the studio in London and burst into laughter while the journalist laid in the snow.
‘Oh my goodness I didn’t even make it down the slope, I’m already on the floor. Someone save me, back to the studio,’ Chelsea exclaimed.
The presenters were then forced to apologise for any offence caused to viewers, claiming that Chelsea had said the Polish word for luck instead.
‘So we’re not 100% sure whether she used the Polish for luck or the word that we have to apologise for. We will apologise to you just in case but I think you were just trying to say luck and help me with my luck,’ Ben said.
Fans of the show rushed to comment on the scene on social media, with many debating whether or not she swore.
One posted on X: ‘Can anyone rewind and find out? Did she say f***? #ThisMorning.’;
‘DID SHE SAY F***? #ThisMorning.’; ‘Where did they find her from #thismorning.’;
‘#ThisMorning too funny !’; ‘Why is she still on the floor? #thismorning.’;
‘Why’s she filming herself with a selfie-stick when there’s clearly a camera crew with her? #thismorning.’
To make matters worse, Ben was forced to apologise AGAIN later in the show after chef Phil Vickery appeared to mutter ‘s**t’ during a chaotic omelette cooking demo.
Using three eggs in his omelette recipe, the mixture in the hot pan appeared not to cook fast enough and Phil seemingly muttered ‘s***, how dare you,’ while he cooked in the timed task.
However, after the adverts presenter Ben apologised for Phil’s alleged slip-up with it not clear whether he said ‘shoot’ or a swear word.

Fans of the show rushed to comment on the scene on social media, with many discussing whether or not she did swear
It comes after Susanna Reid was forced to apologise during an interview on Good Morning Britain after a reporter made an ‘offensive gesture’ live on air.
Journalist John Sweeney featured on Monday’s instalment of the ITV news programme from Kyiv, Ukraine and was asked ‘how shocked’ Ukrainian people were about Donald Trump’s perspective on the conflict and country.
As footage showed Ukrainian soldiers with missing limbs at a rehabilitation clinic, John went on to explain how he had discussed the topic with one of the men there.
The reporter explained, ‘There’s a bloke there that has lost both arms and one leg and so he’s got two plastic hands.
‘And I said what do you think about Trump?’ before he said: ‘I don’t want to swear.’
The Ukrainians have done some technology that the muscles in his stump in his arm can now control this thing [the hand.]
‘And it’s slow and he’s learning, but he said ‘wait wait wait’ and he gave Putin the finger,’ he added while reenacting the gesture. ‘And it made me cry.’
