Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has spoken ahead of the final of the ITV talent show, and quipped there could be a ‘national outrage’ if one thing happened

Amanda Holden says she fears a “national outrage” on Britain’s Got Talent for one specific reason. The ITV talent show is ending this weekend, with a glittering finale of the hit show.

Amanda will be joined by fellow judges – Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon – for the spectacular finale as the remaining contestants fight to be crowned the winner and earn a coveted slot at the Royal Variety Performance.

In a new interview, Amanda has now given an insight into what it’s like filming the hit show. She said: “Normally the party is in my room after the show! Bruno is the first in for a glass of red before the producers and perhaps my Golden Buzzer act pop in.

“The door is always open and the bubbles are always flowing. My husband and girls have been down to the show most weeks too, which has been super special … I’d say Simon is the biggest joker now, especially now that his son Eric comes down to auditions and the live shows. He’s much more emotional now and loves to see Eric laughing.”

She added to Closer magazine: “Simon will quite often look to Eric to see how he is reacting to an act. We joke that all our kids will replace us soon on the panel in the years to come.”

Amanda is hoping a group might win the show this year, as she explained that it would mean the money would go a long way to help more experience what happens when they win the show.

However, she quipped there may be a “national outrage” in store – if her daughters ever appeared on the show. She was asked whether she’d be happy if her kids Lexi or Hollie ever appeared on the programme.

“Hollie is always threatening to audition and asks if I would press my Golden Buzzer for her. I have to say to her, ‘I couldn’t judge you because there would be a national outrage as it would totally be unfair,” she added.

Amanda’s co-star Bruno Tonioli recently opened up about his bond with Amanda – and their drinking sessions.

“We know we have a day off the next day so there might be a little celebration after the show, which will be nice! A few champagnes if Amanda has anything to do with it,” he said.

Speaking about the constant chanting he receives by the live audience, he added: “That always takes me by surprise every time. It’s as if I’m David Beckham, you know, I would love to have his money. They chant my name and it blows my mind, but I love it.

“And the funny thing is, it happens on the street all the time, everywhere I go I get people chanting Bruno at me. And it’s often from scaffolders, so it just shows they must come and watch the show because how else would they know to chant my name in the way the audience does in the theatre? It’s always very funny when you get a bunch of guys on a building site or in a white van that do it.”
