The billionaire has failed to delete a ‘bad taste’ ad amid the devastating fires

KYLIE Jenner has been blasted by fans over the sharing of a “tone deaf” advert for Sprinter vodka soda.

The promo features a box of the vodka soda, which Kylie launched last year, lying next to a roaring log burner, despite wildfires continuing to burn in Los Angeles.

Although Kylie posted the ad on social media just before the tragedy in LA unfolded, she has been questioned over her decision to keep in online.

The advert is still showing on the Drink Sprinter Instagram account, and followers have accused it of being in “bad taste”.

They believe Kylie and her team should have taken action when the wildfires broke out and deleted it immediately.

“Annnnnddd. This NEVER occurred to you guys this might be the tinnnnniest bit…oh….I don’t know….IN BAD TASTE RIGHT NOW?”

Replying, one Reddit user said, “I mean girl take this down. Tone deaf at best.”

A third exclaimed, “SHE F***ING DIDN’T. HOLY F***.”

And a fourth wrote, “Trying to be edgy and cool and is just tone deaf and dumb.”

A few others, however, have shared sympathy for Kylie.

Someone else complained, “Legit, of all the truly awful things they do it’s odd to choose this one as being particularly offensive.

“Are we supposed to pretend fire doesn’t exist for the foreseeable future?

“I doubt people who actually lost homes etc in the fires are too worried about an influencer/professional Longbottom posting a photo of a fireplace.”

 

Most destructive California wildfires

California has been home to dozens of devastating wildfires, including four currently burning in January 2025 that have left over 1,000 structures ruined. Here are the five most destructive wildfires in state history:

1. Camp Fire – Butte County, 2018

Destroying more than 18,000 structures, the Camp Fire is widely known as the most destructive in California state history. Over 153,000 acres were burned and 86 people died.

2. Tubbs Fire – Napa County and Sonoma County, 2017

This October 2017 fire burned more than 5,600 structures and left 36,807 acres charred. Twenty-two people died.

3. Tunnel Fire – Alameda County, 1991

Another October blaze, the Tunnel Fire, destroyed 2,900 structures and burned 1,600 acres in 1991. Twenty-five people died.

4. Cedar Fire – San Diego County, 2003

Nearly 2,900 structures were ruined and a staggering 273,246 acres were burned in this blaze that killed 15 people.

5. Valley Fire – Lake, Napa, & Sonoma Counties, 2015

Four people died in this September 2015 blaze that destroyed nearly 2,000 structures and left 76,067 acres charred.

This weekend, Kylie also found herself being slammed by fans for taking EIGHT private jets since the LA wildfires began.

The billionaire, who has previously been blasted for excessive private jet use, has yet to make changes to reduce her emissions in 2025, even as public pressure grows on celebrities like her sister, Kim Kardashian, to cut back.

Kylie’s $72 million Bombardier Global 7500 jet has flown 11 times this year, including three flights on January 16 alone.

Despite her gas-guzzling jet-setting. the star posted a statement from her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account, promising to donate “skincare, body, hair, and makeup products” to help fire victims in Altadena.

In the post, Kylie said, “We are truly heartbroken to see the devastation caused by the fires in Los Angeles.

“Watching so many people forced to evacuate and hearing the stories of those who have lost everything is deeply saddening and difficult to comprehend.”

However, the post, which garnered 21,000 likes, also sparked outrage among her followers.

This was not helped by the fact that it was posted while Kylie was living a life of luxury in Paris with her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, 29.

One fan commented, “Taking a private jet to Paris, which contributes to the warmer weather and wildfires in LA, and then putting a bandaid on middle-class LA fire victims with your lotion, is horrific. Use your power accordingly.”
