Meghan Markle is considering making a bombshell move that Prince Harry is reportedly backing, according to an insider. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved back to Britain last month and are staying at a private property in the Cotswolds. However, things have been far from easy for the royal couple since their return. A letter was issued clarifying Harry and Meghan’s status as non-working royals, while also stating that they cannot use their HRH titles.
Their move has brought their challenging relationship with the rest of the Royal Family back into the spotlight. Now, according to sources, that relationship could come under even greater scrutiny, with claims that Meghan Markle is considering giving another tell-all interview.
An insider told Heatworld this week that the Duchess of Sussex is fully aware of the “uproar” caused by her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. However, the source claims Meghan believed the interview was necessary at the time as she sought to defend herself against the “onslaught of negativity”.
“Now, she thinks it’s time for her to speak out again. She wants a Diana moment – in the same way that she shocked everyone with her Panorama interview,” the source explained.
Back in 1995, the then-Princess of Wales made the sensational claim that “there were three of us in this marriage” during her interview with BBC journalist Martin Bashir. The interview saw Diana speak openly about the breakdown of her marriage to then-Prince Charles and his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles.
Drawing a comparison between Meghan and Diana, the insider claimed that some members of the Sussexes’ PR team are “worried” about the potential backlash another sit-down could trigger. However, Harry, 42, “seems to be up for it”.

“He remembers what his mother had to go through when she felt she was being gagged by the Royal Family, and that’s not what Harry wants for Meghan. He doesn’t want her to feel silenced – he wants her to speak out.”
In 2021, Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss their reasons for stepping back from royal duties. The interview sent shockwaves around the world as the couple revealed that there had been conversations about the skin colour of their unborn son, Prince Archie.
Meghan also opened up about her own struggles with suicidal thoughts during her time as a senior working royal.
The interview was the first of several high-profile tell-alls from the couple, followed by their 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, and the Duke’s 2023 memoir, Spare. Now, with reports suggesting Meghan could be considering another major interview, the Sussexes could once again find themselves at the centre of a royal storm.
