Sean and Carrie Murray are officially single.
A judgment filed on Tuesday, May 6, declared the former couple legally divorced after nearly 20 years together. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the final dissolution of marriage was uncontested, and the majority of their settlement was negotiated outside of court, aside from their agreement to equally divide their pension plans and retirement accounts.
Both Sean and Carrie signed a stipulation and waiver of the final declaration of disclosure, leaving issues relating to child support, custody, spousal support, division of property, tax matters, legal fees and more to be determined privately.
The filing revealed that the pair “intend to not file” their agreement regarding the aforementioned subjects “with the Superior Court except if necessary to obtain compliance with any provision of The Judgements, to enforce any term contained therein, or to seek a modification of any modifiable term contained therein,” in which case, “they may encounter complications enforcing the Further Judgment.”

Carrie filed for divorce from the NCIS star last year, citing irreconcilable differences, with their date of separation listed as March 18, 2024. The pair had been married for over 18 years and share two kids: Caitlyn, 17, and River, 15.
In her initial filing, Carrie requested joint legal and primary physical custody of the children and that Sean pay her attorney’s fees. She also asked for spousal support from Sean, along with the termination of the court’s ability to order her to pay him.
In his response the following month, the actor asked for joint legal and physical custody. He agreed that the court award Carrie spousal support, but requested that his right to receive financial support from Carrie in the future be reserved.
The conditions of their internal arrangement remain unknown.

News of their split came just a few months after they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in November 2023. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Carrie celebrated the relationship milestone with sweet throwback photos.
“18 years of marriage and you still open the car door and pull out my chair. It’s true when they say, ‘It’s the little things that matter the most,'” she wrote in the caption, going on to joke that she will “always get to pick what we watch” and “always get to be first.”
“After some consideration, I always get to be right, well in my mind anyway. 😜,” she teased.
“I love us @therealseanhmurray. I’m so glad I went to that Halloween Party. 🧡,” she concluded, highlighting that the first photo in the carousel was the “earliest photo I can find of us” at her 2004 grad school graduation the year they met.
