Gogglebox viewers in stitches as they say same thing about celebrity guest
During this week’s edition of Celebrity Gogglebox, famous faces watched Casualty, The 1% Club for Soccer Aid, Clarkson’s Farm, and Heretic.
James Buckley’s wife makes admission on Celebrity Gogglebox
Channel 4 viewers were left in stitches over a much-loved star who appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox. The Inbetweener’s star James Buckley returned with his wife, Clair, as the couple sat down to watch the likes of Casualty, The 1% Club for Soccer Aid, Clarkson’s Farm, and Heretic.
During the programme, the celebrities watched a special edition of The 1% Club in aid of Soccer Aid, which included several famous faces, including Morning Live’s Helen Skelton. Clair reacted to the programme with, “I hate it when they do celebrity versions of things”, which caused many viewers at home to be left amused on social media.
One person reacted on X, “I’d watch an hour of the Buckley’s tbf. Clair with her classic one-liners, “I hate it when they do celebrity versions of things” and “oh is Casualty still on?!” And James rolling his eyes at the camera.”

A second person also commented online, “I really like James Buckley’s wife. The irony of appearing on celebrity #gogglebox and having a go at celeb versions of shows.”
A third echoed similarly, “Hahaha, “I hate when they do celebrity versions of stuff”#GOGGLEBOX.” A fourth typed on X, “She’s right, the celebrity versions are never as good.”
The show returned last week after a lengthy break, but within minutes, viewers at home were complaining online. The much-loved Channel 4 show rolled out a fresh new lineup of celebrities Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison and TOWIE star Pete Wicks, and Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing and comedian Munya Chawawa.
One viewer complained on X, “Not the dreaded celebrities again, so many of them are so annoying #Celebritygogglebox.” A second also said, We watch normal #Gogglebox because it’s hilarious and we love all the families. #celebritygogglebox is not funny and we couldn’t care less about the celebs. It’s just people watching telly.”
