Football fans already think the NFL is “rigging” the remaining NFL playoff games after social media detectives discovered something bizarre about the referee announcement for Super Bowl 59.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Ron Torbert will be the head referee for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, Louisiana on Feb. 9. The matchup for the Super Bowl will be determined on Sunday, with the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game followed by the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills AFC title game tilt.

Amid all the accusations and complaints about the league fixing games for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, social media detectives noticed another detail that has fans freaking out.

That is, they noticed that the background on the graphic for the referee assignment in Super Bowl 59 is the color red:

“They really don’t help things when they make stuff look like this look like a Chiefs infographic lmaooo,” said another.

“At least this already has the Chiefs colors as to show which team the refs prefer,” a fan quipped.

“Wow. So @NFLOfficiating isn’t even pretending anymore? Chiefs colors? Couldn’t go with a neutral or grey background? LOL…. Ah well. This will free up my Sunday afternoon,” said a fan.

“The audacity to announce them in Chiefs’ colors,” wrote another.

We’re still 11 days away from Super Bowl 59, and fans are already accusing the game of being fixed for Kansas City. You better believe that Clete Blakeman and his crew, who were assigned the AFC Championship Game, will be observed closely.

If the Chiefs defeat the Bills on Sunday, they’ll become just the fourth team in NFL history to play in three straight Super Bowls, joining the 1971-73 Miami Dolphins, 1990-93 Buffalo Bills and 2016-18 New England Patriots.

Super Bowl 59 Should Be A Thriller, One Way Or Another

The Eagles, Commanders, Chiefs and Bills all won at least 12-regular season games. They all elite offensive units and championship-caliber units, so we’re in for a treat regardless of the Super Bowl 59 matchup.

Skip Bayless was not a fan of Caitlin Clark’s decision on Saturday.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday as they faced the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Joining her in the suite was reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.

Skip Bayless Still Dealing With Lawsuit

Skip Bayless is carrying on as if he doesn’t have a lawsuit over his head.

The 42-page lawsuit was first reported by Front Office Sports earlier this month.

A woman who worked as a hairstylist for Fox Sports alleges in a lawsuit that former host Bayless made repeated, unwanted advances toward her.

Instead of addressing the matter, Bayless has just done his podcast and posted it online as if it doesn’t exist.
