Palace issues big update on Princess Anne after advice to ‘fuming’ William
King Charles’ office has issued a fresh update on Princess Anne as speculation continues to swirl around tensions within the Royal Family.

On August 9, the Royal Family’s official social media accounts shared details of Anne’s latest visit to the Isle of Wight, accompanied by a series of photographs from her appearance at the island’s famous sailing event.
According to the Palace, Anne joined sailors and spectators in Cowes as the event celebrated the 200th anniversary of Cowes Week.
The Palace said: “This week, The Princess Royal joined sailors and spectators on the Isle of Wight to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Cowes Week.”
Founded in 1826, Cowes Week has become one of the UK’s best-known sailing events. The Palace noted that the annual event attracts more than 60,000 visitors and over 5,000 sailors, with hundreds of yachts competing across the regatta.
Anne played a prominent role in opening the event, firing the cannon that sent the first fleet into the Solent and officially getting the racing underway.
Her involvement was particularly fitting given her long-standing connections with the sailing world.
The Princess Royal is Admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron, Patron of the Island Sailing Club and Patron of UKSA.
During her visit, Anne was also given the opportunity to see how the regatta operates for the thousands of competitors taking part across more than 40 classes.
The Palace added that Her Royal Highness then took to the Solent herself, sailing out to watch the races first-hand.
The official update presents a picture of Anne carrying out her royal duties as usual, but it comes at a time when reports about tensions within the family continue to attract attention.
According to a report by New Idea, the Princess Royal has become concerned about what has been described as growing differences between King Charles and Prince William, the future monarch.
