Britain’s Got Talent fans were left wondering ‘what could go wrong’ after one detail was revealed about the last semi-final on Saturday night, May 23.
It comes as the very last semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent 2026 aired on ITV this bank holiday weekend, with eight performances from Baron & Vesper, Celestial, The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, Jake Banfield, James Miller, Juan Carlos, Mr. Cherry and SOS!.

Before any performances got underway, hosts Ant and Dec revealed that in the last semi-final, the judges will ‘share’ the Golden Buzzer, which will send one act straight to the final.
Over on X, formerly Twitter, Britain’s Got Talent fan @Matt528chap wrote: “A group golden buzzer-what could possibly go wrong with that…”
Another viewer @beachy4579 wrote on X: “So now all judges get the golden buzzer haha what a fix for the final”, and @AllThingsBGT wrote: “It’s a Group Golden Buzzer tonight, What can go wrong”

The opinion was widely shared as @RiftedB70801 said: “A Golden Buzzer from all of the judges tonight?”, and @Reality_Tim added: “A ‘group golden buzzer’ oh lord”.
Some fans of the ITV competition show have been left wondering why hosts Ant and Dec don’t get a Golden Buzzer.
Writing on social media, @RyanSoapKing25 said: “Can’t Ant and Dec have a Golden Buzzer in the Semi Final”, and @bets4joham agreed: “Why don’t Ant and Dec get a final golden buzzer?”
Britain’s Got Talent returned for its 19th series in February with auditions being filmed in Blackpool, welcoming to the screen a huge array of performers – including dancers, singers, magicians, comedians and more.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI all returned for another season, along with hosts Ant and Dec. KSI, whose real name is Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji, is in the middle of his debut series as a full-time judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
