Zara McDermott was left red-faced after suffering an unfortunate fail at the gym on Monday.

The former Love Island star, 28, headed to gym to work up a sweat in the wake of her ex-boyfriend Sam Thompson breaking his silence on their recent split.

However, Zara ended up ’embarrassing’ herself as she toppled over while attempting a barbell squat at the gym.

Dressed in a pink tracksuit, the stunner filmed herself as she reached up for the bar at the smith machine.

However, she miscalculated the distance and ended up falling over onto her bottom – just as a hunky male gym-goer strolled past.

As the guy awkwardly looked award, Zara swiftly recovered and stood up – but was still left mortified overt the blunder.

Captioning the humorous Instagram video, she penned: ‘No I’m so embarrassed.’

The TV later later added a snap of herself enjoying a coffee after her workout as she told how she believed the guy had been laughing at her.

She wrote: ‘I don’t think I’ve had so  many messages in my life saying how much that made you guys laugh.

‘Don’t know why but the guy in the back absolutely kills me. The worst part is he kept chuckling under his breath for a few minutes after that and I just know it’s because of me LOL.’

It was revealed by MailOnline that the Zara and Sam had split last month after five years together with Zara recently revealing has has moved out of their Chelsea home.

Now Sam has opened up about the recent break up to pal Pete Wicks on the latest episode of their podcast Staying Relevant.

Strictly star Pete asked Sam ‘What’s been going on?’ in regard to the news of his relationship.

Sam admitted it has been a ‘real tough month’ managing the break-up as he opened up to Pete and listeners.

Hours earlier Zara appeared to confirm she’s moved out of the home she shared with ex Sam, as she gave her fans a glimpse at her busy day on TikTok.

The TV personality documented her latest day filming for Morning Live which started with Zara getting an early start in her new home and bundling up against the freezing weather in a cosy H&M jumper, before heading into London to jump on a train to the north of England.

Alongside her morning skincare regime, the reality star quickly applied her makeup on the train and after joining her film crew, recorded her latest segment for the BBC daytime show.

Having treated herself to a cake from Greggs, Zara finished her day by joining her pal Alice at the gym and washing her hair.

She then spent the evening in bed, completing her evening journal and cuddling her beloved cat Cedric.

Zara and Sam began dating in 2019 after Made In Chelsea star Sam, 32, slid into her DMs on Instagram.

But it was reported over New Year’s that the pair had recently parted ways – though neither have publicly commented on the break-up.
