Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson is set to make an epic return to TV as part of the Coronation Street family.
The actress, 43 – who played Alicia Metcalfe in the Dales between 2010 and 2015 – has taken on the role of Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) secret wife Danielle.
Natalie’s alter-ego Danielle appeared on our screens for the first time on Monday night.
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) was left lost for words when he arrived at the undertakers with his woman to organise her mum’s funeral.
The undertaker couldn’t believe his eyes and Theo tried to explain that he knows that he’s been gay for a very long time…
However, he has been married to his wife for 19 years.

One thing that is certain is that Danielle has no idea of Theo’s connection with Todd.
Natalie is over the moon to join the Cobbles after being a popular character from the Dales.
She said: ‘I’m delighted and honoured to be stepping on to the cobbles.
‘Coronation Street is an institution and especially if you’re a northerner like me, it’s part of the fabric of our upbringing.
‘I’m not going to lie, I did have a little tear when I started as I felt an immense sense of pride walking around the sets where so many incredible actors and characters have gone before.
‘It’s also lovely to be working with ITV who I’ve spent so many years with throughout my career, it’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces.
‘I’m having the loveliest time!’
Speaking about her new alter-ego, Natalie said: ‘Danielle is such a brilliant character! I’m so thrilled to be playing her.

‘She’s a deeply layered woman and it’s been wonderful to explore some of those layers as I’ve gone on this journey with her.
‘She’s also a bit of a shapeshifter.
‘So you never really know what you’re going to get and I’ve absolutely loved playing that, there’s lots of surprises with her!’
Natalie has landed some very impressive TV roles over the years.
She’s played Justine Lake in 2005, Joanne Railton in Wire In The Blood in 2006 and Eva in Freight.
Between 2021 and 2022 she played Lexi Calder in Hollyoaks.
In 2022 she played Maryanne Borden in Memory.
