UNBEATABLE JOY: Patrick Mahomes Gifts Exclusive Presents – Team Spirit Stronger than Ever!
Patrick Mahomes absolutely smashed it. With the Texas Tech Red Raiders playing in their first Women’s College Softball World Series, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback decided to motivate the players with a gift that would fill them with swag on and off the field.
Mahomes is an ardent fan of all his alma mater’s teams; however, the softball team recently received special attention from the NFL star thanks to its participation in the WCWS. The team reached the playoffs as the best in the Big 12, seeking its first national championship.
Although the Red Raiders got off to a shaky start, losing 2-1 in the first game of their series against the Texas Longhorns, Mahomes’ gift will undoubtedly motivate them for Game 2, where they’ll look to take the series to the third and final game. But what was the gift?
Mahomes shared all his swag with the Red Raiders
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the team revealed that the Chiefs’ signal-caller had given the players a customized letterman jacket and a pair of Adidas sneakers. The jackets feature the school colors and Mahomes’ Adidas logo on the back.
In a video, manager Gerry Glasco informs them of the gift, saying, “You’ve got a gift from your number one fan, Patrick Mahomes.” The players’ excited screams are heard immediately, and soon after, we can see images of some of them trying on and posing in the jackets.
Mahomes is a fan like any other
On Monday, as Texas Tech faced Oklahoma for a spot in the series against Texas, Mahomes was glued to every play, as evidenced by his timeline on X. When the Sooners tied the game 2-2 in the top of seven, the Chiefs star immediately posted a disappointed gif.
In contrast, when Lauren Allred drove in the Red Raiders’ third down in the bottom of seven, Mahomes immediately reacted with an expressive, “AHHHHHHH LETS GOOOO!!!!!” Proving that although he rubs shoulders with the elite of sports and entertainment, at the end of the day, he suffers and enjoys it with his team, just like the rest of us.
