SAD NEWS: Beloved TV news star found de@d by mum aged 36 after legal battle
She had been involved in a five-year legal battle with a former colleague.

Former Fox News producer Jennifer Eckhart has died at the age of 36. Eckhart was found de@d by her mother, Cynthia, at her home in Florida on Saturday (September 19) morning, according to an incident report from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Christine Christofek, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, confirmed in a statement that Eckhart’s de@th had been ruled a suicide. Eckhart worked as an associate producer for Fox Business, spending seven years at the network.
In 2020, she accused then-Fox News anchor Ed Henry of r@pe. Henry, who denied the allegations, was fired by the network. In the filing, Eckhart alleged she had been “violently r@ped” and left “injured, bruised and battered with bloody wrists”. Issuing a statement at the time, Fox News said it “took swift action as soon as it learned of Ms. Eckhart’s claims on June 25 and Mr. Henry is no longer employed by the network.”

The network also said there had been no “sexual harassment claims against Ed Henry at Fox News” before Eckhart came forward with her allegations.
Fox News was later dismissed as a defendant in the lawsuit. Eckhart settled her lawsuit against Henry in 2025.
He now works for the right-wing news network, Newsmax.
“This has been an exhaustive, retraumatizing, five-year legal battle with incredible challenges that at times I almost felt was unable to bear,” she told PEOPLE after the lawsuit had been settled.
“With this settlement in place, a weight has now been lifted from my shoulders and my passion to support fellow trauma survivors has been renewed.”
In July 2025, was arrested and accused of assaulting her ex-boyfriend, but the charge was later dropped by the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office due to insufficient evidence.
In an interview with The Independent, Eckhart said she felt vindicated by the decision and was focused on her podcast, REINVENTED. She also ran The Reinvented Project, a non-profit organisation aimed at supporting trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy.
“I feel vindicated that this matter has been resolved in my favor, with the state declining to file any charges,” she told the publication.
“My mission has always been to turn pain into purpose — through my platform, I will continue standing alongside survivors of assault, abuse, and domestic violence, reminding them they are not alone and that strength and healing are possible.”
