The Buffalo Bills got exactly what they needed when they added former Ravens quarterback Anthony Brown to the roster before their divisional round matchup.
Now, less than a week after signing him, the team has decided to cut him after signing him to the practice squad, per Yahoo Sports.
His last action on the field came with two games played, one start, with the Ravens during the 2022 season.
The timing of the move is very curious, as the Bills were likely using Brown to learn more about the Ravens’ offense while also having him play Lamar Jackson in practice.
Lamar Jackson had 254 yards passing with two touchdowns, but he also had an interception and a fumble. Jackson also ran for 39 yards.
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-25 in a battle of MVP favorites as the Ravens had a chance to tie the game, but tight end Mark Andrews dropped a sure-fire two-point conversion.
Now that Brown has done his job, his time in Buffalo is finished.
Brown will look to catch on with a team on a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season.
The Buffalo Bills Has The Entire Country Behind Them In The AFC Championship Game
Buffalo will be under a lot of pressure, as the Bills have lost to Kansas City in the playoffs three times in the past four years.
Josh Allen and the Bills have gone through hell trying to get past this team in the postseason, and this might be their best chance to get it done.
Buffalo was the only team to beat Kansas City’s starters this season, a 30-21 victory at home in Week 11.
Defeating them in the regular season is one thing, but it won’t matter until they do in the playoffs.
Most of the country has the Bills back in this matchup, but the players still have to play this game.
