Reality star Zara McDermott, currently going through a break up with her partner of five years Sam Thompson, made her followers giggle after owning an awkward work out moment

Mortified Zara McDermott’s embarrassing gym mishap left her in agony – and with a bruised ego!

After she appears to have confirmed she has moved out of the West London home she shares with Sam Thompson following their split, the beauty decided to hit the gym. Recording her progress, she suffered a slip as she worked out – and decided to own the moment.

Instead of hitting delete on the clip, she decided to share it with the world and they all had a good laugh. Wearing a pink outfit, Zara reached for the bar – but fell flat on her bottom. She giggled away and returned with coffee cup in hand to say she was pleased she managed to raise a smile.

“I don’t think I have ever had so many messages in my life saying I have made that many people laugh!” she wrote over the photo after a trip to Gail’s. “Don’t know why but the guy in the back absolutely kills me! Worst part is he kept his chuckling under his breath for a few minutes after that and I just know it was because of me LOL!”

She could do with a smile after what has been a difficult time. The couple, who got together in 2019, appeared to be going strong until they spent Christmas and New Year’s apart, raising suspicion they had split up . It was then reported that they had parted ways after struggling to make the relationship work.

Zara took to her TikTok account to share a ‘Day In The Life’ vlog with her 650K followers on the platform, where she was seen waking up in a different home to the one she shares with Sam, which is next door to his sister, Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson’s home.

Neither Sam nor Zara have spoken out on the split yet despite the reports circulating, with both stars appearing to focus on work over the last few weeks rather than their personal lives as Sam is busy hosting his Hits Radio show while Zara is working on her new documentary.

Fans first realised there had been trouble in paradise for the couple as Sam rang in the new year by partying at London’s Kensington Roof Gardens with former Made in Chelsea co-stars Reza Amiri-Garroussi and Josh Patterson. Meanwhile, former Love Island star Zara had stayed at home with their cats. They also spent Christmas apart as Sam volunteering for a charity while Zara spent the time in Upminster, Essex, with her family.

Then revealing they had parted ways, a source told the MailOnline : “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.”
