Royal Family RECAP: Prince William’s ‘deliberate’ act that ‘closes door’ on Harry’s return

A “deliberate” act from Prince William has proved there is no chance he will reconcile with Prince Harry, a royal commentator has claimed. Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the Prince of Wales will not open the door to his brother in the near future, and the future king’s participation at a polo match on Friday publicly proved that.

Mr Fitzwilliams said “the optics” of playing polo while the Duke of Sussex met King Charles at Highgrove “were deliberate”, adding: “[William] feels betrayed, because of Spare and the other interviews. Catherine [Princess of Wales], as well, was openly supporting William. So that’s his view, and it made it clear because polo at that time … It’s obvious. They haven’t spoken for years.”

Harry reunited with King Charles at the monarch’s private residence in Gloucestershire on July 10, while William was joined by Catherine for the DMMI Royal Charity Polo Cup at Windsor.

William and Harry have been estranged for several years after relations became strained, in part because of the Prince of Wales’s concerns about the speed of the Duke’s romance with Meghan Markle, and also due to bombshell revelations from the Sussexes in their Oprah Winfrey interview and the Netflix series Harry and Meghan.

Prince Harry’s latest podcast appearance this week may not have pleased everyone, but one royal expert thinks it shows exactly what Meghan Markle first saw in her husband. On Monday, a new episode of Joe Marler Will See You Now aired, with Prince Harry and his friend JJ Chalmers on it as surprise guests.

The podcast showed them discussing a range of topics, from the Invictus Games, to trauma and exercise, and even more personal questions. This included Harry’s grooming routine, his occupation, and his children. While some elements of the chat were serious, plenty of the conversation was laced with humour, with one expert believing this was good for the duke.

Princess Eugenie bans Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from attending major event

Princess Eugenie is reportedly determined to keep the birth of her third child as private as possible, with claims that she has decided Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not be present at the hospital when the baby arrives. The 35-year-old royal and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are preparing to welcome their third child this summer.

The couple are already parents to sons August, five, and Ernest, three, and is said to be focused on creating a calm and stress-free environment ahead of the birth.

According to Closer Magazine, Eugenie has become increasingly determined to avoid unnecessary attention surrounding the arrival of her baby following months of intense media scrutiny involving members of her family.

Prince Harry faces devastating blow after ‘strange’ comment backfires

Prince Harry was in the UK last week for a series of engagements, which included a quick stop off at the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast studio. While the podcast only aired on Monday, it is believed to have been filmed last week, and saw Harry discuss a range of topics.

This included talks about the Invictus Games, trauma, family and British culture. The podcast chat also saw Harry being asked some quickfire questions, including about what his occupation is. When he was asked this, The Duke of Sussex – who quit royal life in 2020 – said: “Full time dad, British Army veteran, Prince of England, Duke.”

This sparked anger online, as although he technically is a prince, he is not a working member of the Royal Family and therefore does not carry out any royal duty – he just has the titles. He also does not have a title calling him “Prince of England”.

Fans were quick to call Harry up on this, with one person saying: “He left his “occupation” as prince and duke. Now they are vanity titles.”

‘I met a tearful Meghan Markle and three words she uttered left me in shock’

Meghan Markle made a heartfelt admission when she travelled to Australia earlier this year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex headed Down Under to the east coast for a four-day trip back in April. Speaking in Melbourne about the harms of social media, alongside Prince Harry, Meghan said she was “bullied” every day for a decade and that tech companies were “not incentivised to stop” their platforms being misused.

Journalist Bryony Gordon, who has met the Duchess of Sussex on several occasions, and considers her a friend made a heartbreaking admission during a live broadcast. The debate unfolded on This Morning in April following fresh comments from the Duchess of Sussex, who claimed she had been “bullied and attacked” online for a decade and described herself as “the most trolled person in the world”.

In the unearthed footage, the journalist recalled her own interactions with the duchess, and said the 44-year-old bore “no resemblance” to the “villain” portrayed online.

Heartbreaking update on Prince Harry’s life in US as sources say he wants to move

Prince Harry has called America home for the last six years, but it seems that he still misses life in Britain. After quitting royal duties in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the UK to start afresh in Montecito, California.

They brought a mansion in the neighbourhood and have lived there ever since, raising their two children Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five. The family-of-four appear to be loving life in America, with Harry even learning how to surf and enjoying walks along the beach. However, while it may have its benefits, it seems that America is not all it cracked up to be for the prince.

The King spoke for the nation today when he quipped it’s a “good day to drown a few sorrows” following England’s crushing defeat in the World Cup semi-final on Wednesday night. After carefully pulling a pint on a visit to a brewery in Dorset, Charles reflected on Argentina’s win against Harry Kane’s side by raising a glass and taking a few sips.

It came as the country is still reeling after the Three Lions’ World Cup dreams were shattered by their fiery opponents, who scored two last-minute goals to book their place in the final against Spain on Sunday night. The day after the bitterly disappointing result, the King received applause and cheers as the Queen helped him pull a pint at the Hall and Woodhouse brewery near Blandford Forum.

Aided by Camilla, Charles poured a pint of Fursty Ferret, a best seller with the family-owned brewery based in the town of Blandford near Poole in Dorset.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor ‘bored rigid’ as he’s spotted doing 1 ‘banned thing’

Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been spotted horse-riding in Norfolk, just months after it was revealed he was banned from enjoying his favourite pastime.

The former Duke of York, who has been exiled in Norfolk since February, was pictured back on the saddle this week across the Sandringham estate.

Andrew cut a solemn figure as he was spotted wearing a blue shirt and dark trousers, in pictures published by The Sun.

According to the outlet, the horses, sent from Windsor by the King, are on a “short loan,” as the disgraced royal is “bored rigid” at his new home.

A source said: “He’s bored rigid, so even getting his horse for a few days is better than sitting around doing nothing.”

Duchess Sophie pens new rare personal message on surprising subject

The Duchess of Edinburgh has written a new personal message about countryside agricultural shows and the importance of them this week. Duchess Sophie, who is patron for over 70 charities and organisations, regularly visits agricultural shows across the country as part of her role as Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO).

The duchess is always all smiles at the events, and has even gone as far as to call the events in the UK “the greatest shows on earth”. The duchess has expressed this in a rare essay, which sees her talk about rural communities and the importance of learning more about what they do. The essay was published in The Yorkshire Post.

Andrew just realised how tragic his summer’s going to be – he must be hurting

OPINION BY JASMINE CAREY

Summer is well underway in the UK, and many of us are already busy making plans. Holidays, drinks with friends, lunches in the sun, and even trips to the beach. Idyllic right?

Not for everyone. And especially not for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor this year. For this summer is the first one since Andrew was stripped of everything that seemed to hold his friendships and social life together – his Windsor mansion and his royal titles. It is also the first summer since his arrest in February, which saw him released under investigation for misconduct in public office.

Prince Harry was forced to see Queen Camilla last week at his reunion with his father, it has been claimed. The Duke of Sussex, who hasn’t always been complimentary about his stepmother, reunited with their majesties last Friday at Highgrove House.

While over the last few years Harry has seen his father alone, this time the duke brought his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with him. Although Harry had been in the UK for almost four days by the time of the reunion, Harry’s wife and children had only flown in that day to spend a very short period of time in Britain, due to the Sussexes’ concerns over security.

The ‘real reason’ Meghan Markle did not show up for Prince Harry’s big day back in UK

Meghan Markle did not show up at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games countdown event because it would not have been good for her brand, a leading royal author has claimed. Robert Jobson savaged the Duchess of Sussex after she did not appear at the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham last Friday (July 10).

The Duchess was due to attend the event, but did not after a decision by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee not to provide taxpayer-funded security for the Sussexes during their UK visit. In the same week, Harry lost a High Court legal battle against Associated Newspapers Ltd over unproven allegations of unlawful information gathering.

Meghan Markle was reportedly left unhappy after a comment made by one of the judges during her upcoming appearance as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia. The Duchess of Sussex has now officially been confirmed to appear on the TV cooking competition after filming her guest spot back in April while visiting Australia with her husband, Prince Harry.

The first images from the episode have also been released, showing Meghan alongside host Poh Ling Yeow and fellow judges Jean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin. During the episode, Poh welcomed the Duchess by saying: “We’ve had MasterChef royalty in the kitchen before, but no one like this.”

However, according to Sky News Australia, the remark reportedly did not go down well with Meghan. Sky News Lifestyle Reporter Chloe Walker claimed Meghan and her team were frustrated after the judges referred to her as “royalty”.

Prince William ‘gutted’ as he issues statement following England World Cup defeat

Prince William issued a statement last night after England lost a chance at making it to the World Cup 2026 Final. The England team lost 2-1 to Argentina tonight, leaving the players and the country heartbroken.

In a statement issued not long after England’s defeat, Prince William thanked the players and said the country is “proud” of them. He said: “Gutted. England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you. Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch, for an incredible tournament.”

King Charles has recognised the mood of the nation after England’s hopes of reaching the World Cup Final were dashed last night, by remarking it’s a “good day to drown a few sorrows”.

While carefully pulling a pint on a visit to a brewery in Dorset this afternoon, Charles made the witty remark before raising his glass and taking a few sips.

Palace announces royals to attend World Cup Final – it’s not Prince William

Prince William has missed out on the chance to travel to the United States to watch England compete in a first men’s World Cup final since 1966 after the Three Lions suffered a devastating semi-final defeat to Argentina.

Instead, the Spanish Royal Household has confirmed that King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, will travel to New Jersey on Sunday.

Resurfaced video exposes Prince Harry’s true thoughts despite ‘Prince of England’ claim

The Duke of Sussex appeared on the latest episode of Joe Marler’s podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, which was filmed during his visit to the UK last week.

Harry spoke about various topics and answered a round of quick-fire questions, including about his full name, star sign and occupation.

When asked what his occupation is, Harry briefly paused before answering: “Full-time dad, British Army veteran, Prince of England, Duke.”

Prince Harry slammed after ‘unacceptable’ attack on High Court judge

Prince Harry’s statement about the judge who presided over his privacy case against the publisher of the Daily Mail has been branded “over the top, personal and unacceptable”.

The Duke of Sussex lost his case against Associated Newspapers last week and released a statement after Mr Justice Nicklin dismissed all claims of unlawful information gathering in full in a bombshell decision, published just as the royal began his five-day trip to the UK.

Harry’s statement has been criticised by two former justice secretaries – Alex Chalk KC, who served under Rishi Sunak, and Sir Robert Buckland KC, who served under Boris Johnson.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle savaged over ‘pathetic’ move as more ‘leaks’ emerge

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to have further enraged fans after more “leaks” about their trip to the UK and meeting with the King and Queen last week emerged.

Just this week, “sources close to the Sussexes” spoke to Vanity Fair and shared a glimpse into the private meeting, saying it lasted for about “an hour” and that it was “completely cloak-and-dagger, orchestrated by the King”.

Now, new reports have cited “well-placed sources” who have opened up about the Sussexes’ trip to Britain, as well as their private meeting with Their Majesties.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been criticised by fans after sources close to them gave an insight into their private meeting with the King and Queen last week.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Charles and Camilla privately last Friday, during Harry’s five-day trip to Britain.

The meeting took place at the King’s private Highgrove House, and Buckingham Palace only confirmed it, without any additional comments.

But now “sources close to the Sussexes” have spoken to Hollywood bible Vanity Fair and shared a glimpse into the private meeting.

Meghan Markle was mocked by fans after it was claimed that she got snubbed by one of her “good friends” at a high-profile fashion gathering in Paris recently.

Pierpaolo Piccioli presented his first haute couture collection for Balenciaga last Wednesday, marking his first year as Creative Director of the fashion house.

Balenciaga’s 55th Haute Couture collection was shown in the gardens of the Cité internationale universitaire in Paris, but the Duchess of Sussex was nowhere to be seen despite the celebrity turn-up.
