Pauley Perrette’s Actual Size Will Make You Look Twice, Try Not To Drool

Pauley Perrette, best known as the quirky and brilliant Abby Sciuto on NCIS, has a story just as compelling off-screen as on it. Born in New Orleans and raised across several states due to her father’s job, Pauley dreamed of becoming either an FBI agent or a rock musician careers that combined intrigue and creativity.
After graduating from Valdosta State University with a degree in cr1minal justice, she relocated to New York City and worked various jobs to support herself. A serendipitous encounter with a director drew her into acting, and she gradually began winning modest roles on television and advertisements. Her big role came on NCIS, where she played Abby Sciuto for 15 years and 350+ episodes, becoming a fan favorite for her gothic flair, upbeat energy, and sharp intellect.
However, life behind the scenes wasn’t as cheerful. Pauley faced challenges with fame and tensions on set, especially a reported incident involving Mark Harmon’s dog that led to safety concerns. She left NCIS in 2018, citing a toxic work environment, and soon retired from acting altogether.
In the years after, Pauley has survived a horrific att4ck in Los Angeles and spoken out about her previous abusive marriage. Instead of retreating, she became an outspoken campaigner for stalking laws, animal rights, and pand3mic assistance, once donating $3,000 to each family in need.
Now 55, Pauley enjoys a quiet life in Los Angeles, far from Hollywood’s spotlight. Standing at 5’10”, she’s a symbol of strength and resilience, continuing to inspire fans with her kindness, authenticity, and courage.
Pauley Perrette may have stepped away from the screen, but she’ll always be remembered as the unforgettable Abby and as a woman who stood tall through it all.
Mark Harmon Reveals What Really Happened On Set!

Pauley Perrette’s departure from NCIS after 15 seasons shocked fans, especially given her beloved character, Abby Sciuto. Initially quiet about her exit, Perrette later revealed that workplace conflict – specifically involving Mark Harmon’s dog – played a major role.
The tension began after Harmon brought his untrained dog to set, which ended in a crew member being bitten and requiring 15 stitches. Despite this, Harmon reportedly continued bringing the dog, prompting Perrette to raise concerns with CBS executives.
This led to a significant rift between Perrette and Harmon. The pair refused to film together, and during her final season, they were kept apart with scenes edited to make it appear they interacted. Their relationship remained strained until her final episode.
Perrette later claimed she was bullied and physically assaulted on set, and expressed regret about not speaking out sooner. CBS acknowledged her complaints but offered no substantial response, leaving her with lingering trauma and a firm decision never to return.
In 2019, Perrette confirmed she feared Harmon and had nightmares about the incident. Though she keeps in touch with some co-stars like Brian Dietzen, she retired from acting in 2020. Meanwhile, Mark Harmon has never publicly addressed the allegations.
