Kevin O’Sullivan addressed Prince Harry’s latest blow after Meghan Markle’s appearance on MasterChef Australia on Sunday. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, had reason to celebrate after her episode pulled in 1.16 million viewers across the country, making it the programme’s strongest Sunday episode in three years. The show’s streaming records revealed 118,000 people tuned in via on-demand platforms overnight, a 62 per cent jump compared with the equivalent episode last year.
But despite her latest success, the TalkTV host claimed Harry’s setback could put a dampener on things for the Sussex household. Speaking on Monday’s edition of Drivetime with Kevin O’Sullivan, the host was joined by royal biographer Angela Levin. The pair addressed the Duke of Sussex losing a High Court privacy case alongside six other prominent figures and facing a legal bill of up to £50m.

Addressing Meghan’s MasterChef debut, Kevin explained: “This was filmed a couple of months ago when they were in Australia.

“What we do know is that Meghan is increasingly worried about money due to the fact that in two days time, on Wednesday, Mr Justice Nicklin, the judge in the long running case of Harry, Elton John, Liz Hurley, their celebrity pals, which they spectacularly lost against The Mail – that judge is sitting in judgment on who will pay for this extremely expensive four year case. Costing around £50m.”
He continued: “Harry is going to have to find a lot of money pretty damn quickly, and quite frankly, there is not a lot of money flowing into Montecito at the moment.

Meghan is not at all pleased.”
Angela agreed, before adding: “If you think about how they’re living they’re much more rich than you imagine. Otherwise you’re not going to buy a nice home in Portugal, you’re going to be very careful.”
However, she suggested Harry may seek financial assistance from his father, King Charles.
“I think in the end they’re going to get the King to do it,” the royal biographer mused. “I hope he doesn’t.”
The Sussexes have faced growing reports of financial strain, driven by high living costs, as insiders and commentators suggest they’re feeling pressure, however, this has not been confirmed.
Harry visited the UK earlier in July to promote the Invictus Games in Birmingham. During the trip, King Charles met with Harry along with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
