He has played more hard men than most East Ender’s have had jellied eels – but actor Danny Dyer is not without his sensitive side – as his MUM reveals.
The cockney actor underwent counselling as a child after his dad’s secret double life was fiercely exposed, leaving him with a single mum and another new family.
Mum Christina, 59, revealed son Danny, now 37, became withdrawn after discovering his painter and decorator dad Tony had a secret mistress.

His East End mum described the painful moment she discovered Antony had a secret mistress on the other side of London in November 1986.
She told The Sun on Sunday: “A posh woman called and said, ‘I think it’s about time you knew your husband has been having an affair for a year with a woman called Andrea’.
Christina, who had daughter Kayleigh in her arms, decided to confront Andrea Talbot and immediately picked up the phone.
When she was on the phone to her love rival six-month-old Kayleigh started crying. Christina explained: “She was very polite… then Kayleigh started crying and she said: ‘I think you better go and see to Kayleigh’. I thought, ‘My God, she knows my life.”

That evening Christina told Tony to sling his hook and then broke the news to Danny’s brother, Tony, then seven.
Although Tony took the news well, Christina said son Danny became so withdrawn she became concerned and visited his headmistress who recommended counsellung.
“Off he would go and he’d come outside and wouldn’t tell me what they talked about,” Christina explained.
Previously Danny has admitted: “I never felt as close to my dad as I felt my mum. He f**ked off when I was nine so wasn’t around much.”

Danny went on to get over his issues but his mum admits he was a troubled teenager, before his acting talent was spotted by his drama teacher.
Defending Danny’s dad Tony Christina says her actor son thinks of his counselling as “water under the bridge”.
Danny is now set to marry long-term partner Jo and mum Chsritina said she was still in shock over the proposal.
Danny admitted that he’d not dared to ask Jo to marry him because he wouldn’t have been able to cope if she’d turned him down.
“It was a complete bolt out of the blue but I’m so glad she did it because I don’t think I could have taken the rejection,” the actor said. “I love the fact Jo proposed.”
Jo, 37, explained: “I’ve always wanted to marry Danny and I decided that if I didn’t get things moving, it would never happen.
