A contestant who won a record-breaking amount on Deal Or No Deal has revealed all about her experience on the show.
Nay Nay, 28, bagged £75,000 on the popular ITV game show hosted by Stephen Mulhern, 47, during an episode that aired last month.
After growing up watching the programme with her mother, the paralegal from London decided to apply when she searched online to see if it was still broadcast.
The decision paid off and Nay Nay ended up breaking show records with her huge win, and has told MailOnline how ‘blessed’ she feels.
Throughout her game, Nay Nay stuck to her plan of not taking any of the Banker’s offers and staying with her original box until the end – and it proved to be a great success.
She shared her experience of being on the show, including insider details of how contestants are selected to play.

When a new game begins the names of every player in the studio are spun on a screen and one is randomly chosen.
Quite often, contestant’s family members will be shown sat on the front row of the audience and in Nay Nay’s case, her grandmother.
‘They’re not actually sitting there when the names are turning… they move them there once you’re selected to play,’ she explained.
The paralegal revealed she didn’t know she would be chosen beforehand, and added ‘you will never actually know when it’s your turn to play’.
Nay Nay’s episode was filmed in September last year, and she described Stephen as ‘so hilarious, so funny, so warm, and just a really lovely guy’.
The TV star started hosting the show in 2023 when it switched over from Channel 4 to ITV1.
Stephen supported Nay Nay throughout the episode, and she shared ‘When you’re playing your game, it’s literally like an out of body experience’.

‘A couple of times I found myself, I almost wanted to pass out because I was like, ‘Whoa, how is this happening’ and he’s just so amazing, so comforting, and just really cheering me on during the breaks as well,’ she added.
Throughout her game, Nay Nay stuck with the same box she had from the start and says ‘it was just about faith’.
‘I believe that the box that I pick is what I was destined to have. And I’ve seen a lot of people be really heartbroken, or leave with regrets because they’ve had a number system and they’ve stuck to it, and unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out the best way for them,’ she added.
‘And I just didn’t want to overstress myself or overcomplicate things, so I literally said a prayer beforehand, and I said, ‘God, whenever I’m picked, please, let me pick the box that I’m destined to go home with, because I just want to have fun with the game.”
During her game, Nay Nay gradually removed all of the blues, leaving an impressive selection of reds, causing Stephen to exclaim, ‘I have never seen this, this is a once-in-a-lifetime board.’
Soon, she was left with the two highest figures – £75,000 and £100,000.

The banker called and Stephen said, ‘He’s absolutely furious, he said what an awful game. He can’t believe he’s saying this, he said he’s hoping the £75,000 is in your box.’
He made a final offer of £82,700 for Nay Nay’s box, to which Stephen said: ‘This is the highest offer we’ve ever had, so full credit to you.’
When asked Deal or No Deal, Nay Nay responded: ‘Thank you Mr Banker but no deal.’
Stephen opened the box to show £75,000, before revealing: ‘You are walking away as our highest ever winner’.
Nay Nay admitted she knew there was ‘a chance’ she could ‘go home with the blue’ but ‘accepted that’.
She explained: ‘… I just wanted to have fun, and it was more about the experience that the people that I met during that time, like money cannot buy, like some of them are literally my friends for life’.

The 28-year-old shared that since her episode aired she has received many supportive messages from fans and feels ‘blessed’.
Nay Nay is still in touch with her fellow Deal Or No Deal contestants and says they talk in a group chat regularly, with even a reunion in the works.
As for those who want to apply for the show, Nay Nay says ‘There’s no blueprint, no criteria, just be yourself’.
