Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be feeling ‘devastated’ over photos from a beach day with their son Archie being leaked.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stood tall as proud parents watching their six-year-old Prince Archie enjoying a surfing lesson at Santa Claus Beach. But the fact they were papped has left the couple ‘reeling’.

The family were all out to enjoy the sunshine, with Princess Lilibet seen standing next to her mother Meghan while Archie soaked up the lesson.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s beach day photos ‘leaked’

The photos, which show Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their two children at the beach last Friday, are going viral online now.

The outing offered a rare glimpse into the lives of the Sussexes who often try to keep their children out of the public eye.

However, they were spotted at the public beach with their son enjoying the surfing lesson.

Fans then spotted the young royal in a video posted by the camp, Surf Happens, online, days later. Archie was wearing a wetsuit with a t-shirt over the top which featured the school’s logo on it. He was enjoying himself as he rolled around in the sand.

Whereas Princess Lilibet, who is four years old, was seen standing with mum Meghan shyly. She was wearing a white shirt and matching leggings.

In the photos, Prince Harry was seen laughing with other dads at the outing, while Meghan Markle was seen on her phone at one point after mingling.

The beach was packed with families and couples enjoying the sunshine and it appears the Sussex brought one of their pooches with them for the family fun day out, as she was holding a dog in one of the snaps.

Sussexes feel ‘exposed’

After the photos were shared, a source close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claim the couple were devastated snaps of their beach day were leaked online.

The insider claimed the couple feared someone leaked their location and are reeling after the incident.

They told Rob Shuter: “They’re devastated.

“This was supposed to be a peaceful day. Instead, they feel blindsided and exposed.”

The insider added: “This wasn’t a public outing. They planned every detail to keep it low-key — and someone sold them out.”

They continued it’s been a ‘wake-up call’ for the couple.

Another source told Hello! Magazine: “Harry and Meghan were part of a group of parents, they were very down to earth.

“They were so proud of Archie. It was cute to watch – a special family time.”

Duke is a keen surfer

Prince Harry is a keen surfer and has been seen riding the waves in videos before, so it’s no surprise Archie is following in his footsteps in the new photos.

In October 2024, a clip of Harry surfing was shared on Instagram, as he showcased his skills at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in central California.

The ranch, although hundreds of miles away from the ocean, features a man-made wave for surfers to get their kicks off the real thing.

It’s been hailed as the world’s best artificial wave, and is the only one accredited for elite-level competitions by the World Surf League.

But Harry had no issues, as he’s embraced the laid-back California lifestyle since moving there with his wife Meghan and children in 2020.
