The Most “EXPLOSIVE COMEBACK” in WNBA History – Caitlin Clark Pulls Off a Once-in-a-Lifetime Feat!
The Indiana Fever faced the New York Liberty on Saturday in what marked Caitlin Clark’s return from injury. She had missed the previous five games after suffering a left quadriceps strain on May 24, ironically also against the Liberty.
Clark got off to as hot a start as she could have imagined, finishing the first half with a career-high point total for a half: 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting and 6-of-9 from three. The 6-foot guard also recorded five rebounds and three assists as the Fever went into the locker room up 53-50.
But what really caught attention was her fifth three-pointer, which came with 5:27 left in the second quarter. Clark had Liberty star forward Breanna Stewart guarding her on the perimeter.

The reigning Rookie of the Year came off a screen and caught a pass from Sophie Cunningham. Clark dribbled and cleared out space before launching a step-back shot from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse logo.
As expected, she drilled it, but while getting back on defense, ABC’s broadcast caught Stewart laughing with Clark.
Fans watching at home shared their reactions to Stewart laughing on social media.
“Mutual respect from 2 amazing players, this is the culture the WNBA needs to be talking MORE about,” one fan said.
“Good vibes between them,” another wrote.
“Game respects game,” added another.
“She just has to accept she’s getting cooked,” said a fan.
“That’s cool they have the respect and fun style of play. Love to see it,” one fan added.
“OMG I DIDNT KNOW STEWIE WAS CHILL LIKE THATTT,” another fan wrote.
