Coronation Street fans Heartbroken as Beloved Sets Disappear Mysteriously!
Coronation Street fans have shared their confusion over a number of ‘missing sets’ on the ITV soap.
The programme has been on our screens from the past 65 years and has seen plenty of different sets that the stars film in – from the Rovers Return to Underworld to Speed Daal.
One eagle-eyed fan took to discussion website Reddit to point out that there are a few locations that they haven’t seen recently on the show.
The viewer wrote: ‘Unused sets. Why is there so many sets that don’t get used anymore? I can’t think of the last time we saw inside the Kabin, Gary’s shop, Builders yard, The Barbers, Flat above the salon, Flat above the kebab shop.’
Another replied and pointed out: ‘They are too much into filming in the bloody police station, hospital or prison these days, no time to show anything else!’

‘Great you mentioned this as I was thinking the same tonight about the corner shop. I only care about the Rovers and the corner shop. Bring it back. I actually think Jenny should work in it.’
One set in particular got brought up a lot in the thread, the newsagents The Kabin, which is located at 10 Coronation Street.
‘I just started watching again after a break of around 10 years and was wondering what happened with the Kabin!’
’12 Coronation Street (above the Kabin) hasn’t been seen in 13 years at this point.’
‘Does anyone still work in The Kabin? Brian?’
‘Bring back The Kabin!’
‘According to the Wikipedia page which shows descriptions of full episodes and locations used, The Kabin hasn’t been seen since Feb 2024 which is crazy!’
The newsagent was originally known as Biddulphs and was located at 12 Rosamund Street.

It has had a list of owners over the years, including Rita Tanner, Norris Cole and Colin Callen.
The current owner is Brian Packham.
It comes after Coronation Street has confirmed two more departures – and the fate of a third Weatherfield resident is hanging in the balance.
Back in January it was revealed that Sue Cleaver, 61 – who has played Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap for 25 years – would be leaving the Cobbles to pursue other things.
Two months later it was confirmed that the soap star had already filmed her final scenes.
Then it was revealed that Eileen’s exit from the show would include her son Jason Grimshaw, meaning that actor Ryan Thomas, 40, would be reprising his role for the storyline.
So viewers know that Eileen and her son will be leaving, however according to The Mirror, there could also be a third character that ends up fleeing Weatherfield as well.
In scenes yet to air on our screens later this week, George is set to ask Eileen to marry and will do anything to be with her – even if that means moving away.

And next week will see Eileen’s eldest son Jason return to the Cobbles – and he wants her to leave to move to Thailand with him.
The builder has his own business in the Southeast Asian country and wants to join forces with his mum to become business partners.
But when George is mentioned in the plans, Eileen doesn’t seem keen – and when he finds out about it, he tries to put things right.
George ends up offering to take the trio on holiday to see if they will get on, but is it not known if Eileen agrees to it.
