Rod Stewart makes huge announcement after Glastonbury performances
Sir Rod Stewart has confirmed a new Faces album is almost ready to be recorded and released alongside a documentary about the band’s formation in 1969.

Fresh from reuniting with guitarist Ronnie Wood for his Legends slot at Glastonbury, the veteran rocker said he has been making new music with the Rolling Stone, 78 and drummer Kenney Jones, 76.
And Sir Rod, 80, admitted his busy schedule is the reason the album is not finished.
“It’s all down to me again,” he said. “So I’ve got to get the lyrics finished. I’m working so bloody hard. I’ve got two albums on the go, two documentaries. I’m just supposed to be doing a book about my model railway, which I’ve just dropped. I ain’t got the time. But there is a documentary. We have been filming it for some time.”

Sir Rod, who battled a nasty bout of flu before appearing at the festival, added: “We’ve got a considerable amount of film and some really old stuff. Kodak gave all the Faces cameras way back, (and said) go and shoot what you want. And Kenney has still got it all.”
He is also committed to making a new solo record, saying: “My dear record company want me to make a country album.
“There’s so much in the pipeline but I’ve had to drop a few things. I’m just so busy, which thank the Lord I am.”
