Superman’s Son Takes Over GMA: Will Reeve Becomes America’s Real-Life Hero!. Superman’s son has made a name for himself!
Will Reeve, the youngest child of the late actor and activist Christopher Reeve, has built quite an impressive resume. After interning at Good Morning America and graduating from Middlebury College, Will earned a spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter and has been a correspondent for ABC News since 2018.
He has also followed in his father’s activist footsteps and serves as a board member of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Founded by his late parents, the organization advocates for legislation and research in the study of spinal cord injuries and helps to improve the quality of life for those impacted.
As for his personal life, Will and event planner Amanda Dubin got engaged in November 2024.
So, who is the man who bears a striking resemblance to his superhero dad? Here’s everything to know about Christopher Reeve’s son Will Reeve.
He was just 13 when his mother died, leaving him orphaned

Will hadn’t even turned 3 when his father was paralyzed in 1995 and was 11 years old when Christopher died in 2004. Two years later, tragedy struck again when his mother, Dana Reeve, died of lung cancer at 44. With that, he lost both of his parents in just 17 months.
He dabbled in acting when he was younger

Will first appeared in the 1997 TV movie In the Gloaming, starring Glenn Close and directed by his father. He then went on to play a small role in The Brooke Ellison Story, another TV movie directed by Christopher.
He’s always loved sports

“We shared a very deep bond in general, but sports was definitely a major component of our family bond,” Reeve told PEOPLE in 2015 when he got a gig at ESPN.
“If it involved a ball or a stick or a racket or a bat or a puck, we were either watching it or playing it or talking about it together.”
He lived with a childhood friend after his mother’s death

Although he has two half-siblings from his father’s first marriage, Will went on to live with a close friend after his mother died. According to family friends, Dana wanted him to stay in Bedford, N.Y., with the people he’d grown up around. The proud hockey mom made the arrangements before her death.
His dad spent his last day alive watching Will’s hockey game

Christopher spent quality time with his youngest child the day before he died. According to family friend Ken Regan, he went to Will’s hockey game as he typically did.
“He tried to go to all of Will’s sporting events,” the photographer told PEOPLE in 2004. They then spent the rest of the day watching baseball back at home.
He’s a correspondent for ABC News and Good Morning America
In May 2023, Will was asked to cover a story about Gert-Jan Oskam — a man who became paralyzed from the waist down after a motorcycle accident in 2011. Thanks to artificial intelligence and researchers in Switzerland, Oskam has since undergone a life-changing surgery that has allowed him to walk again.
“My dad was Christopher Reeve. He suffered a spinal cord injury in 1995. He dedicated the final nine years of his life to fighting for a cure for paralysis,” Will said during a segment on Good Morning America. “For many reasons, I wish he were here today, to see how far the research has come. This breakthrough sounds like science fiction, but it’s real and it holds great promise for a bright future.”
He continued: “If I can be a proud son for a moment, you can draw a straight line from his advocacy to developments like today. He would be the first in line to sign up for this procedure.”
He is engaged to Amanda Dubin
