Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom Parker were show legends before their exit in 2016 – but what have they been up to since?

The beloved couple joined the Channel 4 show back in 2013 for its first series – and it’s fair to say it didn’t take them long to become firm favourites with fans.

Over the years, Steph and Dom – who have been married since 1998 – have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights.

In 2016, though, the pair ended up leaving the show. They went on to release their own book and feature in TV series like The Jump, Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Hunted.

In 2019, Steph revealed she was ’20 minutes from death’ after she was struck down by double pneumonia during Boxing Day the previous year.

“A near-death experience, really,” Dom told the Mirror. Recalling how she felt before the attack, Steph said, “I had started going a bit mad because I had no oxygen in my system.

“But I didn’t even realise it because when you are that sick, you don’t really know what’s going on at all. Christmas is very busy in our home and we had been away working solidly in the run-up.

“I had to put a tree up and make everything happen in 24 hours. So I think I pushed myself too far, and it was just sheer exhaustion, which allowed infection in.”

In 2021, after facing financial struggles that left them £1.8million in debt, Steph and Dom sold their mansion in Sandwich, Kent and moved to the Canary Islands.

The couple snapped up the stunning, huge Grade I-listed boutique hotel – where they filmed for the Channel 4 show – for £2.6 million in 2004. They then spent a further £2.5 million renovating The Salutation.

In 2020, the Parkers admitted that the company running the manor house would be liquidated and guests’ deposits would be lost. The hotel was subsequently shut.

Of the decision to sell, he added: “Our lives have changed and moved on considerably, and we are not in a position to move permanently back to Sandwich.”

Last year, though, Steph and Dom were hit with heartbreak when their beloved dog, Gigi, who made several appearances on Gogglebox with Steph and Dom, sadly died.

Taking to their Instagram, they shared a photo of tiny miniature Daschund Gigi’s collar. In the caption, a heartbroken Steph and Dom said: “It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that we lost Gigi on Thursday, 18th Sept in the early evening.

“She passed away at home, in our arms and has joined Coco over the bridge to continue their mischief and zoomies together.

“We wish we could be more eloquent with our words – but we have none – not yet – but she was loved by so many, and you have all been so kind to her and us that we wanted to share this with you as soon as we could actually get the words down – we raise a large glass to ‘The Squeedge’.”

Steph and Dom’s new business venture

Steph and Dom have also launched their own business; their very own gin called Steph and Dom’s Gin – Aftermath 1666.

The pair flog the beverage on its website for £36.40, with the pair revealing: “We are not aware of any other gin that boasts of tasting of oak or smoke! We may be proved wrong, but we’ve done it nonetheless.”

Talking about the drink, they added: “This is not a floral, fruity or wildly herby gin and nor is it reminiscent of wandering through Granny’s garden. This is a gin designed to enthral and to be drunk neat, with water or in a martini.”

In February, the pair took to their Instagram to promote the gin ahead of Valentine’s Day. In a video, Dom gave a tutorial on conjuring up a delicious-looking drink.
