BREAKING: Big Brother Faces Fury As Tory Star Emily Hewertson Axed Within Hours Leaving Fans Shocked And Outraged

Political events manager Emily Hewertson, 25, has become the first casualty of Big Brother 2025, departing the ITV2 reality series mere hours after entering the house on Sunday evening.

The decision, which was a combination of public voting and decisions by her housemates, has been panned by furious viewers who’ve claimed her right-leaning views landed her at a disadvantage compared to her “woke” co-stars.

The Westminster insider and former GB News panellist from Northampton fell victim to the savage opening-night mechanism dubbed the Evil Eye, which saw viewers select contestants for immediate eviction risk.

Following the rapid voting period on Sunday, four other housemates were identified as having received the most votes alongside Emily: Nancy, Sam, Caroline, and Cameron.

Big Brother subsequently revealed that Nancy and Cameron were safe, whilst Emily, Sam, and Caroline remained cursed with the Evil Eye designation.

The trio was immediately separated from their fellow contestants and directed to a specially designated Exit Room.

Big Brother informed them that whilst the public had determined their vulnerability, the ultimate decision regarding who would depart rested entirely with the three at-risk housemates themselves.

Inside the Exit Room, the three contestants were asked to present their cases for remaining in the competition and explain how they would utilise the £100,000 prize money.

    ITV Big Brother: Sam

    |Emily stated she would travel to Bora Bora, whilst Sam expressed interest in purchasing property near Disneyland, and Caroline spoke about spending time with her elderly parents and installing new patio doors.

Caroline initially volunteered to depart, noting the other contestants’ youth, but Big Brother insisted on a formal voting process.

When votes were cast, Emily selected Caroline, believing she would cope best with the departure, whilst Caroline chose the 25-year-old, dismissing her Bora Bora ambition as “daft”.

Sam initially selected someone else but changed the decision at the final moment, ultimately voting to evict Emily after being moved by Caroline’s reasoning.

The decision left Sam visibly distressed, weeping in the Diary Room whilst expressing overwhelming guilt about the result, while Caroline described the elimination process as “f***ing horrible”.

Her departure marks the swiftest exit in the programme’s recent history, occurring less than 24 hours after the series launched.

Emily has returned to social media since her departure and appears to have taken her eviction in good faith. “A short story,” she penned on Instagram alongside a violin emoji. “Tory villain + BB = never gonna end well. Thank you for all the supportive messages, as always, haters gonna hate.”

While she may be taking the axe in her stride, it’s safe to say several ITV viewers weren’t as understanding, with several blasting the show for going “woke” and pandering to a “lefty” audience.

“Too British for the woke monster you’ve created,” one X user reacted to the Big Brother account’s post about Emily’s dismissal, while a second echoed: “Since the show left Channel 5, it’s become so woke. Who even watches it these days?”

“Typical, the lefties got rid of the only right-thinking person. No wonder England is such a mess,” a third agreed, before a fourth sarcastically weighed in: “How can we have someone with a different view on our show actually causing drama and making the show good? Back to the lettuce cooking commune!!”

Elsewhere, a fifth slammed: “That was so cruel!! I think it was wrong to get someone so excited about being on the show and then crushing it not long after entering the house! Plus, we don’t know these people on the 1st day, so it’s harsh to judge people on 1st impressions! Poor girl must be devastated!”

And a sixth fumed: “Shameful what you have done; you don’t like anyone with actual British conservative views. It’s fine to have radical left-wing activists in there though.”

However, as expected, there were also several viewers who celebrated seeing a Conservative-supporting contestant eliminated so early in the process.

“Now I’ll watch. Tories never win #BBUK,” one viewer gloated, before a second shared: “Lol nobody likes a Tory, go shout at some hotels on the way to church.” (sic)

Live TV Disaster: Loose Women Faces Sh0cking Mishap Just Minutes Into Broadcast

Loose Women fans were left scratching their heads as they tuned into Tuesday’s live show as all four panellists were missing when the show opened

Tuesday’s edition of Loose Women began in peculiar fashion as all four presenters were nowhere to be seen.

Viewers tuning into the ITV daytime programme were left baffled as they witnessed an empty studio desk where the panel should have been seated.

Whilst the familiar opening theme music played, audiences were presented with nothing but vacant chairs rather than the expected quartet of hosts.

Social media users quickly voiced their confusion, with one viewer writing: “That was weird #loosewomen.”

Another bewildered fan questioned: “wtf was that? #loosewomen.”, reports the Mirror.

The mystery was swiftly resolved when presenter Jane Moore emerged through the sliding doors, accompanied by panellists Mariella Frostrup, Kelly Brook and Sunetra Sarker.

Jane promptly launched into the day’s proceedings by addressing current news stories and confirmed that Kelsey Parker would be appearing as a guest.

The incident follows confirmation that a dedicated Loose Women episode will broadcast next month in recognition of World Mental Health Day.

The special programme will honour the transformative power of music and its profound influence on our lives.

Scheduled for Thursday, October 9, Loose Women: The Music will showcase panellists Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan, Brenda Edwards, Myleene Klass and Oti Mabuse.

The presenters will share personal stories about how music has influenced their journeys and supported them through significant life experiences.

An official announcement revealed: “Throughout the show, from 12.30pm on ITV1 and STV, Coleen, Kelle and Brenda will take to the stage to perform the songs that are closest to their hearts.

“Viewers will also be treated to a show-stopping rumba from Oti Mabuse, and Myleene Klass will accompany the ladies as she showcases her musical talents on the piano.”

In a fresh teaser for the episode, Brenda is heard describing music as “a universal language”, with Myleene expressing that it “touches your soul” and Kelle affirming that “music has always been a part” of her life.

It’s been confirmed that Loose Women will only broadcast for 30 weeks in 2026, instead of its usual weekly schedule throughout the year.

Major changes at ITV will see Lorraine cut down to just 30 minutes and also only airing for 30 weeks a year.

Good Morning Britain is set to extend by half an hour, encroaching into the traditional 9am start time of Lorraine Kelly’s chat show.

Shirley, who turned 65 earlier this month, announced her split from Danny, 52, in November 2024 and has now admitted she cannot hold on to the men in her life because she is “married” to dance.

Talking on the latest episode of Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, out now, she said: “I’m obsessed with what I am and with what I do.

“So it’s not just a job for me.

    “I’m married to it.

    “That’s probably why I don’t have a relationship.

“I don’t think I’m put on Planet Earth to have a relationship.

“Every relationship has ended up being a disaster.

“With my last boyfriend I thought I’d found The One and that also didn’t work.

“So I’m just going to focus on my family.”

Speaking on relationship guru Paul C Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, Shirley opened up about her “rocky life”.

She has also recently endured the torture of having a stalker.

Kyle Shaw, 37, believed the judge was his aunt.

He received a suspended jail sentence and restraining order in April this year.

It was revealed at the weekend that her deciding vote — when a Strictly dance-off result is deadlocked — will now be shared among the other judges after years of her decisions leading to online abuse.

She now wants to withdraw from the spotlight for a quieter life, adding: “I’m going to start to be a bit more insular.

“At 65, I was going to have a big party but I decided I would have it with my driver George, my PA Harry, and my mum.

Troy Deeney, the former Watford striker, has hinted at a potential move to MasterChef or The Great British Bake Off after getting a flavour of reality TV. Following his victory on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins alongside Lucy Spraggan and Michaella McCollum, Deeney is open to exploring more shows if the right opportunity presents itself.

When asked about his next potential TV appearance, the 37 year old admitted that any decision would need the green light from his wife first – as his ego might lead him to bite off more than he can chew. He confessed: “I’d have to speak to my wife, as she’s advised me that I’m not as good at everything as I think I am.”

    Troy Deeny

He added:”I love cooking so probably like a MasterChef or a Bake Off, something like that. I’d love to do it.” However, Deeney ruled out an appearance on Dancing on Ice, and said: “That’s a strict no-no.”

He admitted: “At this juncture in my life, it’s about one of two things, exploring who I am and opening up to new things. And then using my platform to be able to talk to people.”

Since hanging up his boots in early 2024, Deeney has embraced punditry and broadcasting duties whilst providing commentary for various Birmingham City matches, one of his previous clubs.

He spoke about the significance of community spirit and how the beautiful game can serve as a unifying force, and the pivotal role it can play in bringing people together. He also explained that players can have a huge impact, particularly when involved in outreach programmes.

“Players can be these kids’ heroes,” he said. “You don’t know what these people are going through. Empathy is a remarkable thing and can open your mind to the fact that, for some of these fans, you’re the greatest thing ever, regardless of what’s going on around you.”

He added: “Even something as simple as a high five as you walk past, that acknowledgement can make such a positive difference to that person.”

Troy speaks to Birmingham City fans to find out what the community meant to them

Troy’s remarks come after research from Smart Energy GB discovered a quarter of football supporters said the community spirit they derive from their team ranks amongst their favourite aspects of the sport.

The community atmosphere remains vital to supporters as it brings people together from all walks of life, helps them feel connected, and can even offer comfort during tough times.

Troy himself said: “Throughout my time in football I’ve been surrounded by a squad on and off the pitch, and having that support network around me helped me navigate highs and lows.

Eight out of ten respondents revealed they have received ‘life advice’ from their football club, which has included guidance on managing gambling addictions, staying fit as you age, and how to better support women in the game.

A quarter of those surveyed have started setting money aside for football-related costs, and even credit their club with helping them learn about budgeting and household finances.

One in seven respondents said they have even installed a smart meter to better monitor their energy use after being inspired by their club.

Phillippa Brown from Smart Energy GB added: “For many people, football clubs are the beating heart of their communities – they bring people together in a way few things can.

“Across Britain, organisations like the English Football League are working hard to support people with their health and wellbeing, family life, or even their finances.

“If you’re struggling with your energy bills, a smart meter can be another tool to help you keep track of how much you’re spending, and find small ways to save.”

  • ‘Absolutely incoherent!’ Emma Watson’s olive branch to JK Rowling torn apart amid fresh trans row

‘Absolutely incoherent!’ Emma Watson’s olive branch to JK Rowling torn apart amid fresh trans row

JK Rowling has been defended by Andrew Doyle after brutally shutting down Emma Watson’s “ignorant” offer of reconciliation.

Speaking to GB News, the commentator declared that although it is a “nice sentiment”, the Harry Potter actress is still “cosying up to a movement that wants JK Rowling dead”.

Speaking on the Jay Shetty podcast, Ms Watson publicly spoke of the feud for the first time: “I really don’t believe that by having had that experience and holding the love and support and views that I have means that I can’t and don’t treasure Jo and the person that I had personal experiences with.

“It’s my deepest wish that people who don’t agree with my opinion will love me, and I hope I can keep loving people whom I don’t necessarily share the same opinion with.”

Emma Watson, Andrew Doyle, JK Rowling

Andrew Doyle has defended JK Rowling after Emma Watson’s attempt at reconciliation with the author

Hitting back at the Harry Potter star on social media in a lengthy statement, Ms Rowling fumed: “Like other people who’ve never experienced adult life uncushioned by wealth and fame, Emma has so little experience of real life, she’s ignorant of how ignorant she is.

“She’ll never need a homeless shelter. She’s never going to be placed on a mixed sex public hospital ward. I’d be astounded if she’s been in a high street changing room since childhood.”

Throwing his support behind the author, GB News contributor Andrew Doyle said: “She makes a very good point that, of course, when JK Rowling wrote the Harry Potter books, she was living in poverty.

“And she has not had the kind of privileged experience of life that the likes of Emma Watson have had. Because of the success of her books and her films, she made Emma Watson a multi-millionaire.”

    JK Rowling

JK Rowling has blasted Emma Watson for her public olive branch to the author | PA

Criticising Ms Watson’s “luxury belief” further, Mr Doyle added: “So the point she’s making is, of course, when it comes to women’s rights, Emma Watson is never going to have to share a mixed-sex ward at a hospital or be in a prison cell with a male rapist who identifies as female, or have any of these various issues.

“These are points that JK Rowling made in her rebuttal tweet just the other day, and she makes a very, very good point. It’s a luxury belief of Emma Watson, because she’s never going to have to face the problems that a lot of ordinary women will face.”

Delivering his verdict on JK Rowling’s response to Ms Watson’s remarks, Mr Doyle argued that until now she has been “incredibly restrained”, but has now “run out of patience”.

He told GB News: “She’s been incredibly restrained, and we have to put this into perspective, she’s had years and years of death threats, rape threats, threats of torture, activists doxing her, throwing the most disgusting abuse, and all of it coming from the trans activist movement, which has violence and violent rhetoric just completely normalised within it.

    Andrew Doyle

“That’s the movement that Emma Watson has thrown her weight behind and said that she would support.

“When it came to doing a podcast about her experiences, she specifically said to the producers she didn’t want to address the issue of Emma Watson, because she was concerned about bringing her into this toxic debate and getting her piled on and all the rest of it. So she was very considerate, I think she’s just run out of patience.”

Concluding his verdict on the row between the Harry Potter stars, Mr Doyle stated that although Ms Watson’s olive branch was a “nice sentiment”, it is an “incoherent” argument.

He said: “I think this latest podcast appearance where Emma Watson has said ‘we can completely, fundamentally disagree, but I can still love her’, well, that’s a nice sentiment, but this is a movement that has been saying that J.K. Rowling should be assassinated.

“And as JK Rowling says, if you cosy up to a movement that wants me dead, how can I then say, ‘oh, that’s fine, we can still be mates’. I mean, it’s absolutely incoherent.”

HEARTBREAKING NEWS: Cat Deeley On The Verge Of Tears As Mum Reveals Shocking Abuse By Teenage Daughter On This Morning

Cat Deeley was left fighting back tears as she interviewed a mum on This Morning who had been suffering heartbreaking abuse at the hands of her teenage daughter.

The TV host, 48, was joined by Ben Shephard, on the ITV daytime show on Monday morning when the anonymous parent opened up on her experience.

The mum, who only went by her first name, Juliet, appeared live in the studio, but her face was not shown as she explained how her daughter, who had been diagnosed with autism, became abusive at home.

The horrifying story left Cat struggling to speak and appearing glassy eyed as she worked to keep hold of her emotions during the segment.

Juliet explained: ‘It all began when my daughter went to high school, essentially her personality totally changed, she became verbally abusive towards me and had quite a bit of attitude over and above what you would expect from normal teenagers.

‘That verbal abuse was quite significant, shouting, swearing and name calling.

‘After about a year, that turned into physical abuse, the first incident she returned and she’d been drinking, she was only 11 or 12 years old, and that was a factor in it.

‘It started off with her throwing things out of her bedroom, throwing things at me, at my head, and on that occasion she broke my finger.

‘She had what I would describe as a complete and utter meltdown, she was like a complete wild animal, and it wasn’t only me she was aiming her abuse at, it was my family as well who turned up to assist me.

‘She had just gone 12 years old.’

Opening up further about the changes at home, she continued: ‘When she started high school, it was like a switch had gone off, she completely changed.

‘She became far more belligerent, far more verbally abusive and it took a year then for the physical stuff to start’.

Holding back tears, Cat responded: ‘I can’t imagine being a mum and loving someone so much, and then being so frightened as well.

‘As their mum, you wouldn’t want them to get in trouble but at a certain point you have to ask how do you protect yourself?’

She continued: ‘It’s a really difficult position you find yourself in because this is one of the people that you love most in the world and they are hurting you.

‘It doesn’t take long for you to forgive them and not forget about it but for things to sort of get back to normal, but it is a really weird position.

‘That’s your child who you’ve given birth to and they’re suddenly behaving in an abusive way towards you for no apparent reason.

‘I have two other children, and that’s a weird position to be in because you’ve got the behaviours from the one child, and you’re trying to protect the others.

‘She didn’t really project her abuse towards them, she still saw what was going on and they wanted to protect me, and I was quite keen to keep them out of the picture because I didn’t want them to be involved.

‘You’re left with no alternative then to take it forward.’

The heartbroken mum continued: ‘She was fine in school, she was fine with her friends and the rest of my family so outside of the home, she was completely lovely, confident and social.

‘It was sort of like she unloaded at home.’

The mum went on to explain her daughter had been diagnosed with autism and ADHD earlier this year, after she escalated the behaviour with the doctor.

‘She can’t emotionally regulate herself so once it starts it’s very difficult to stop,’ the mother said. ‘When she does start to show those signs, whereas before I would stay with her, I’ve learned that makes things worse.

‘I now make sure she’s safe, stays in her room and she might throw some things around and I don’t intervene in any way whatsoever now’.

Juliet clarified that her daughter hadn’t had a serious ‘meltdown’ in over a year, with the mother-of-three modifying the house to keep her safe.

She added: ‘I’ve got a set of lockers which I keep alcohol and sharp items, lighters and matches, anything she could use to harm herself or others.

‘I’ve got cameras all downstairs, and I’ve had to work from home because she needs supervision and I don’t want to leave her alone in the house.

‘We’ve all got locks on our bedroom doors as well so if things do escalate we can lock ourselves in.’

Juliet explained how her daughter ‘accepted’ all the changes, and ‘knows in her heart’ what her behaviour is but ‘just can’t help it’.

Cat and Ben then took advice from an expert, who explained the rise in these kinds of incidents, and changing behaviours in neurodivergent children.

ITV Chaos: Lorraine Kelly’s Emotional Confession About Hosting ITV Show Leaves Fans Reeling Amid Network’s Huge Cuts

Since 2010, ITV viewers have seen Lorraine Kelly front her own self-titled stand alone show, after having a small segment on GMTV.

However, the 65-year-old has revealed there’s one major drawback when it comes to presenting on TV and speaking with her guests.

This comes just days after the ITV star was quick to comfort one guest on her show who had tragically lost her daughter.

On Tuesday’s episode, Lorraine was speaking to Sonali Shah and Rishi Davda about Madonna’s recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast, On Purpose.

With the whole interview lasting over two hours, the ITV stars touched on how podcasts allow celebrities to go more in-depth when speaking about their lives.

Rishi commented: “This podcast format is something that a lot of celebrities are gravitating towards. Historically, you would get a small period of time, you know 90 seconds or a two minute interview.

“The most popular ones now are 2 and a half hours, sat down with a podcaster just talking, you might end up going into how you got stage fright when you were four years old. But, there seems to be a real interest in peeling back the layers.”

Agreeing, Lorraine confessed: “Oh, definitely, that’s one of the real drawbacks of doing this. I only get to talk to people for about six-minute chunks.

“That’s why I love doing the podcast, because when you talk to someone on a podcast, you’re right, you can really get to know the person, it’s so fascinating”

Her comments come following the news that ITV are cutting her show back from one hour to half an hour next year.

Along with the time being cut down, Lorraine’s show will only air for 30 weeks of the year, a huge change from its current full-year run.

Loose Women is also facing a change, with their show only set to air for 30 weeks, the same adjustment to Lorraine.

Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain will gain an extra half an hour, finishing at 9:30 am. Although during the weeks Lorraine isn’t on, the show will finish at 10am.

Speaking about the changes, Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV’s Media and Entertainment Division said: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.

“These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.”

Good Morning Britain host Ed Balls erupted at Zia Yusuf after the Reform UK member claimed he got something incorrect on air.

GMB: Ed Balls tells Zia Yusuf ‘don’t be silly’

Ed Balls was left furious at Zia Yusuf as he was corrected on Good Morning Britain when making a statement on Reform UK’s response to immigration.

The hosts were discussing at length the plans Reform UK have shared about what they would intend to do, but as Ed quizzed Zia, he began talking about Uganda and Hong Kong.

He said: “Listening to you speaking, if you came from Uganda, if you came from Hong Kong, as I understand it, if you came from the EU, either you’re going to become a citizen, or you’re going to get a new humanitarian visa. Who are the people you’re actually going to deport? Isn’t this a bit of a con?”

Zia responded: “Ed, either I misheard you, or you referred to Uganda and Hong Kong as inside the EU. Obviously those are not countries in the EU.”

Ed quickly spoke over him and said: “No I didn’t say that. I said Hong Kong, or Uganda, or the EU. Don’t be silly Zia.”

Zia ignored the response and continued to “give the facts”.

Ed then asked upwards of five times: “How many of them will you deport?” Zia added: “The most important thing is that we’re going to stop the benefits going to foreign nationals. That is going to save people money.

“We can make no apologies, but under a Reform government, yet we will enforce immigration law. I know that might send some people hysterical in the political establishment because that hasn’t happened in decades, but I think British people expect our borders to be upheld.”

The clash with Ed came shortly after Zia also told Susanna Reid that her figures were “wrong” as they first welcomed him on the show.

Taking to X, viewers were quick to share their thoughts on Zia’s debate with the two hosts.

One user wrote: “‘We’re trying to get clear who you’re targeting’ was just the two presenters trying to trip Zia Yusuf up and he corrected them both (several times) brilliantly. This is exactly why the majority of us are looking forward to a Reform government as soon as possible.”

Another said: “Both your faces explained it all, completely tripping with the idea of basic common sense policies. You just don’t get it.”

A third wrote: “You completely refused to listen to a word Zia was saying, and to come out with that remark right at the end, proves it.”

GMB continues weekdays from 6.30am on ITV.

BREAKINGNEWS: BBC Breakfast Viewers Left Reeling As Boyzone Drop Devastating ‘Final Chapter’ Bombshell In Surprise Announcement

Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch announced that Boyzone are reuniting for a final concert in London next year. The trio appeared on Tuesday’s BBC Breakfast to make the special announcement.

Ronan kicked off the chat by saying, “We were very lucky to play multiple arenas across the UK with 10 nights at Wembley, 10 nights in Manchester, 10. You know, we never played stadiums as a band.

“And it’s always been a dream of all of ours to do that… heartbreaking without Steo (Stephen Gately), but to kind of write this final chapter.

“We’re not making new music. It’s not a reunion, it’s not all of that. You know, there’s plenty of bands out there doing that. Everybody has been part of Boyzone’s journey, this story they’ve shared, they’ve cried with us, they’ve laughed with us through the documentary.

“And now, to get to Emirates together, all of us, and say our final farewell the way we want to do it will be pretty powerful.”

Sall Nugent noted, “I think you talk about saying the final farewell. I mean, a lot of the documentary, it’s actually a lot of it is about grief and acceptance, isn’t it, and how do you heal from what happened? How have you managed to do that?”

Ronan admitted, “I don’t know if you heal. I think you put a Band-Aid on it and you crack on, and that’s kind of what we’ve done. We’ve been together. We’ve been apart. We do find it easier when we’re together, because Steo is alive when we’re together.

“So that’s a beautiful thing. That’s very special, but it’s going to be hard to stand up on that stage without him, that’s for sure.”

Keith Duffy chimed in, “It’s a celebration. It’s the final chapter. It’s us boys, one last time on stage together. You know, it’s not a tour. It’s not going to be a tour.

“It’s a celebration. It’s a party. You know, it’s gonna have all the hits of Boyzone and some kind of extra little bits in there, some I’m sure to be friends of ours involved as well on the night.”

Shane added, “It’s going to be one for the road.”
