Meghan Markle’s appearance in the latest episode of MasterChef Australia saw a contestant left with an injury as they tried to prepare a “dish fit for a duchess”. The Duchess of Sussex appeared as a guest judge on the 18th season of the cooking show on Sunday.
The episode was filmed during Meghan and Harry’s week-long trip to Australia in April. In the episode, Casper Kenworthy was one of the four chefs in the show battling it out for a spot in the semi-final. In a short segment of the episode shared on social media, the 28-year-old said that cooking for Meghan was “crazy”.

But he also revealed that he cut his finger while peeling ginger with a peeler.
The video showed him looking at the camera, saying: “I’ve just cut my finger.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever cut myself in this kitchen and it’s in front of Meghan.
“Kind of embarrassing.”
During Sunday’s episode, the duchess praised contestant Aaron Kher’s dish but joked it packed “too much” spice for Harry, who greeted the Australian group with a “G’Day”.
“He’s a charmer, isn’t he?” she said after the phone call ended.
Asked about cooking for her family, Meghan said she had “a lot of palates to appease” and that her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are “great eaters” who enjoy Brussels sprouts.
