Meghan and Harry face ‘serious problem of survival’ after Prince William move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reached a “serious problem of survival”, according to royal author Tom Bower, who believes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are running out of options. Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Bower claimed the couple are entering a difficult new chapter following Harry’s recent legal setbacks and ongoing tensions with the Royal Family.
He said: “Harry and Meghan, in my view, have reached the end of a chapter. They’re now into a serious problem of survival. They have been judged to be unreliable and untrustworthy by the King, and by the judge. What are they going to do for their income from now on?”

Bower suggested the Sussexes could no longer rely on criticising the Royal Family, adding: “They’re not going to trash the table.”

Host Piers Morgan argued the couple’s public image had shifted dramatically since stepping back as working royals. He claimed that repeated criticism of the monarchy had ultimately damaged their popularity, particularly in Britain.
Morgan also suggested many high-profile celebrities now preferred to be associated with senior working royals, pointing to the Prince of Wales’ growing profile.
Royal commentator Katie Nicholl agreed, referencing Taylor Swift’s meeting with Prince William during her Eras Tour stop in London last year.
Morgan continued: “The A-listers want to be with Charles and William. They don’t want to be with the renegades trashing their family.”

He went on to criticise Meghan’s lifestyle brand, joking that the couple had pivoted to “nicely, nicely jam making”, before suggesting they were now trying to reconnect with the Royal Family.
Morgan claimed he knew that Buckingham Palace was wary of allowing any public reunion to be used for publicity.
“I think the King knows that,” he said. “His people definitely do because I talk to them, and they’ve been very wary of being used as a PR tool to reconnect them back to the A-list royals.”
He added that such a reunion could restore the Sussexes’ profile in the US, but argued: “I don’t think the Royal Family are going to let them do it.”
