Alison Hammond and toyboy David Putman appear to be going from strength to strength, so much so that they’ve even sparked wedding rumours in recent weeks.

But while the couple – who have been dating since the end of last year – are reaching new heights, Alison is preparing to rock the boat with a tough conversation about finances.
A source close to the This Morning presenter, 49, has told heat that as she plans her future with Russian masseur David, 27, she wants to protect herself and her 19-year-old son Aidan – but is worried that a suggestion of a prenup won’t go down well with her beau.

We’re told, ‘David has put a smile back on Alison’s face, he’s great with Aidan and he’s a hit with her friends and family. It’s all been going so well and she’s now thinking that they should just take the plunge and make things official. David is someone she wants to grow old with, but there is a little voice in her head nagging away, telling her she needs to protect herself financially.’
The source continues, ‘Alison is worried about killing the vibe by bringing up the topic of money and a prenup, but she knows she must protect herself. She isn’t stupid – she’s suffered fools gladly in the past and learned her lesson. She knows that David is a good guy, but when it comes to marriage and money, you cannot leave yourself vulnerable.’
Last year, Alison was allegedly the victim of a blackmail plot. It was said the blackmailer threatened to tell ‘lies’ that would ‘end her career’ unless she handed over thousands. A 36-year-old man was later arrested before being released on conditional bail.

And now, we’re told that Alison is understandably more cautious when it comes to her bank account. The source says, ‘Alison’s doing very well for herself, that’s no secret. She loves spoiling David and treating them both to nice dinners and experiences, but she’s never out of control with her spending. In every other aspect of her life, she’s been able to talk freely with David, but money is an awkward topic. She’s scared that he might feel like it’s a slight betrayal.’
They add, ‘Her friends have advised her to just be honest and if he’s a good guy, he won’t have a problem with it. For now, Alison’s hoping she can find the right time to have a frank chat with him about it – and she’s just hoping it won’t change what they have together.’
