It comes days after it was reported that Wayne is in talks to join Match of the Day as a pundit, starting next season.

Gary Lineker will continue to present the men’s FA Cup in 2025-26 and the 2026 World Cup for the BBC.

Wayne hopes to join the show, set to be hosted by Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan, as a rotating guest pundit and could command up to £200,000 a year for his services, according to The Sun .

Last April, Wayne was due to debut on the show, but was forced to withdraw from his appearance due to a back injury.

One month later, he took the reigns as manager at Plymouth Argyle but was sacked after 25 games on New Year’s Eve with the club in freefall and rock bottom of the Championship.

Coleen recently revealed that Wayne was getting ‘chants’ about her at football matches while she was on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The WAG took part on last year’s series of the ITV show where she finished as runner up to McFly’s Danny Jones.

Wayne was serving as manager of Plymouth Argyle while she was in the jungle although he has since been sacked.

She said: ‘He’s probably struggled more than me. People have hated on him and it’s tough because he’s out there every week.

‘He told me while I was in the jungle he was getting chants about me all the time.’

The Plymouth Argyle gig was Wayne’s fourth managerial job following on from spells in charge of Derby, DC United and Birmingham.

During his time at Plymouth, Wayne oversaw 25 matches, of which his side won five, drew six and lost 14.

Wayne has also reportedly secured another new job, which is set to get underway next month.

As reported by The Mirror, Wayne has landed a lucrative job that will see him lead ‘Train With Wayne’ sessions at a luxury hotel in Dubai.

The sessions are set to take place during February half term and it is thought Coleen and the kids might join him out there.
