MISSING CARSON Today’s Carson Daly left out of show moment as he remains absent and Savannah Guthrie begs co-star to ‘come home’

TODAY’s Carson Daly has been left out of a touching moment between the show’s anchors while away from his post.

The Today Show cast, including Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Sheinelle Jones, and Dylan Dreyer sat down together during Thursday’s episode to reminisce.

Carson was nowhere to be found, as he was absent for the day.

He had a late night filming The Voice the day prior, so he had missed out on hosting at the Today Show with his POPStart segment.

That meant Carson missed out on a touching moment between his co-hosts.

Everyone took time to look back on the year and everything they had accomplished.

There were plenty of tears flowing as the anchors thanked their staff, producers, and everyone at the Today Show for their hard work.

Emotional sentiments flowed as everyone reiterated how much they loved each other and working together.

Sheinelle also thanked viewers for tuning in and watching the show.

“Love you guys,” Craig said to everyone on the couch.

“And Carson!” Craig exclaimed as he blew a kiss to the camera.

“Carsy! Come home!” Savannah shouted as she grinned into the camera.

“Everybody behind these cameras,” added Al before Hoda took the show to commercial.

Carson didn’t get to be a part of it, but he likely appreciated the sentiment when he eventually viewed the episode.

LATE NIGHT OUT

Carson was missing from the Today Show once more during the most recent episode.

As previously mentioned, he spent the night prior hosting The Voice and flirting with co-star, Gwen Stefani.

Sheinelle Jones filled in for Carson on Wednesday’s show.

She led the POPStart segment, which is the day’s pop culture news.

That segment typically belongs to Carson, but Sheinelle, 45, usually takes it over when he is out.

She led the segment this whole week.

However, Carson had a good reason for not being on Today.

He is the host of the competition series, The Voice, which aired its live semi-finals on Tuesday night.

The Voice films in Los Angeles, California, while Today takes place in New York.

Carson was last on the morning show on December 8.

FLIRTY FRIENDS

Carson was caught last night “flirting” with his pal, Gwen, 54, in a behind-the-scenes video of The Voice.

She took to her Instagram Stories with clips from the live show.

As Gwen caught up with Carson, he made it clear that he was full of admiration for her look, which consisted of a black and gold sparkly dress and fishnet stockings.

“Spicy Gwen. Ay, ay ay! Muy caliente,” he said as he pointed to her tucked into his side.

Meanwhile, Gwen’s husband Blake Shelton, 47, seemingly skipped The Voice in favor of promoting his show, Barmegeddon, which aired on the same night.

Blake created and produced the game show alongside Carson.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE?

During Monday’s semi-final, Gwen a cuddly selfie with Carson.

Their closeness comes amid fan concern that Blake and Gwen might be experiencing marriage problems.

Near the end of November, the singer shared a brief clip of herself with Blake, in which they built a fire and cooked pizza together on their Oklahoma ranch.

In the comment section, viewers had mixed feelings about the pair’s relationship, with some claiming that Gwen didn’t suit Blake’s country life.

A fan commented: “Seems like she’s adapted more to his lifestyle than him to hers. I don’t know.”

Another follower said: “These 2 do not belong together!! It’s my opinion!!!!”
