In an unprecedented move, Lara Tr::mp, daughter-in-law of former President Donald Tr::mp, officially steps in as a new host on Fox News. According to The New York Times, on Feb. 22, Lara, 42, wife of Eric Tr::mp (Tr::mp’s middle son), will launch “My View with Lara Tr::mp,” airing every Saturday from 9 to 10 p.m. ET.
A press release from Fox News Channel says: “Each week, the show will deliver big-picture analysis and interviews with thought leaders, shedding light on the headlines shaping the national conversation and impacting families nationwide.“
Lara isn’t new to the network; she joined as a paid contributor in March 2021, before stepping down in December 2022 when Tr::mp announced his third presidential campaign ) in 2024.
Though Lara is the first known family member of a sitting president to host a TV program, other political relatives like Jenna Bush Hager, Meghan McCain, and Chelsea Clinton have also entered media.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praised Lara as “a gifted communicator, successful entrepreneur and working mother” whose “innate understanding of the American public and today’s political landscape will be a compelling addition to our weekend lineup.“
Lara herself expressed: “I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to Fox News, talk directly with the American people and celebrate what makes this country so great.“
Beyond television, Lara Tr::mp served as co-chair of the Republican National Committee during Donald Tr::mp’s latest presidential cаmp, before leaving in January. She married Eric Tr::mp in 2014 and shares two kids: Eric “Luke” Jr. and Carolina Dorothy.
