So uncalled for!: Royal expert puzzled over Meghan Markle’s UK return – ‘Where did security threats go?’
A royal expert has questioned another decision from the Sussexes amid the ongoing saga of their attempts for a family reunion in the UK.

A royal expert has warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “cannot have it both ways” after it was revealed that they will bring their children to the UK. It has been an ongoing saga for the past couple of weeks, with the family originally planning to be in the UK in time for the Invictus Games. However, due to difficulties in getting a level of security protection that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex see fit for any potential UK trip, Harry travelled to the UK on his own this week.
While many people will be eager to get a glimpse of the couple’s reunion with King Charles III, it has been revealed that Meghan will not attend any public engagements in the UK. It was initially understood that Meghan Markle would accompany her husband, Prince Harry, to his Invictus Games event, but that has since changed. A Royal expert has questioned why the update was given to the public at all, as Meghan and the kids will not be making public appearances while in the UK.

Robert Jobson, the author of many royal biographies and books, revealed in a recent post on his Substack site that he doesn’t understand why the announcement was even made
“They won’t be seen,” he wrote. “Not in public. Not by us. So why tell us at all?
“You cannot have it both ways. The world must know they are here. The world must not see them. Pick one.
“So what changed? Where did the security threats go?”
He went on to predict how Meghan and Harry might engage with the public through social media, but questioned whether a few photos could save them from what has been a “bad week” following Harry’s defeat in court.
“Here is the uncharitable reading, and I’ll own it,” he said.
“A few grainy frames taken by Meg of the backs of two small heads at Diana’s ancestral home make a tender picture.
“Tender pictures rescue bad weeks. And Harry has just had a very bad week indeed.
“Sorry, Harry. It’s a bitter pill to swallow – couldn’t help myself – but the back of a child’s head won’t mend what a courtroom just broke.”
