In 2024, Austin Ekeler signed a two-year deal with the Washington Commanders worth up to $11.43 million.

The longtime Chargers running back played for the Los Angeles Chargers for seven seasons before joining the Commanders.

In his illustrious career, Ekeler has made approximately $31,886,224 as a seven-year veteran, according to Spotrac.

Even with that type of cash, Austin Ekeler has never been a person who simply wastes his money.

He proved that this week when he made a short video of snow in his area. He noted that he had lived in the Los Angeles area for seven years and never had to think about getting a snow scraper.

That changed with his signing on the East Coast.

Austin Ekeler showed snow in his area and exposed the fact that he lives in an apartment complex and doesn’t own a house.

He also drives a $40,000 Chrysler.

Due to injuries and missed games, Ekeler finished the regular season with 77 carries for 367 yards and four touchdowns, and 35 catches for 366 yards on 41 targets in 12 appearances.

The Washington Commanders got a huge boost before the start of the playoffs after they activated running back Austin Ekeler off injured reserve.

Ekeler played sparingly in the final game of the season in Week 18. He had three rushing attempts for 12 yards.

With the running game struggling to remain a key part of the offensive success in Washington, having Ekeler back just before their wild-card matchup should help things along.

For Austin Ekeler, he’s coming back after suffering a concussion at the end of the last time Washington faced the Cowboys.

With him not being around, the team was forced to try different combinations of using running backs Brian Robinson Jr., Jeremy McNichols, and Chris Rodriguez Jr.
