Tom Brady has hit out at Skip Bayless after the Undisputed host blamed him for Shedeur Sanders sliding down to the fifth round of the NFL Draft last month.
Many NFL onlookers, including Bayless, thought Sanders should have been the first quarterback off the block but he was repeatedly ignored until the Cleveland Browns put him out of his misery with the 144th pick in round five.
Some thought the Las Vegas Raiders, where Brady is a minority owner, would have eventually provided a home for Sanders – especially given Brady is known to have had a close relationship with the former Colorado QB.
Now, in an appearance on Jake and Logan Paul’s Impaulsive, Brady was finally given a chance to break his silence about Sanders.
‘I mean there is – it’s a good question,’ Brady said, stumbling over his words to begin with.
‘I wasn’t a part of any evaluation process,’ he added, before Mike Majlak interrupted to say that Bayless thought it was all Brady’s fault.

Brady was not impressed with Skip Bayless saying he played a part in Sanders’ falling so low

Bayless accused Tom Brady of contributing to Sanders being left for so long
Bayless tweeted, when Sanders dropped into round three: ‘It is now pretty clear Tom Brady – who mentored Shedeur – told the Las Vegas Raiders NOT to take Shedeur. Duly noted.’
Brady responded: ‘I know. Well, everyone’s got – that’s the problem with media, everyone can just say whatever the f*** they want and get away with it. It’s kind of unfortuante, because there actually used to be a lot of integrity in the media.
‘There is way less now because everyone actually needs crazy voices to get heard. It actually probably hurts a lot relationships which is not the goal of broadcasting.
Brady revealed he reached out to Sanders after the Browns finally took him to wish him well for his NFL career.
‘Nobody knows (why Sanders dropped so low in the Draft). I actually texted Shedeur because I know him very well. I said “dude, whatever happens, wherever you go, that is your first day. Day two matters more than the Draft. I was 199.”
‘Who could speak on that better than me? Use it as motivation, you are gonna get your chances, go take advantage of it. Use it as motivation, wherever you end up going it is about your performance – what you do when you get there.
‘What does it matter, other than an overhyped day where people are selling stories? It’s an important day, it is fun but I have been there on day two when they need to learn a playbook and learn to be part of a locker room.
‘He’s got to show up every day. As a quarterback, you have to be a leader and I would say that to every quarterback I ever come across.’

Sanders went on pick No. 144, despite many thinking he was a nailed-on first round choice
As for Bayless, Brady added: ‘I don’t think I did (respond). For the most part it goes out the next day anyway.’
The Raiders picked another quarterback in the sixth round – Cam Miller, from North Dakota State.
In an Athletic interview this week, Raiders GM John Spytek said Brady liked a lot og what he saw in Miller.
‘He liked the way he threw it, his technique, throwing from the ground up and his motion,’ Spytek said. ‘And he thought he had the potential to improve.’
