If there’s ever a day you tune into America Reports and don’t see Smith, don’t panic. There’s a good chance she might be filling in on another show. That, or she may have been scheduled to appear on another Fox News show.
For example, on Feb. 27, 2023, Smith was asked to join Guy Benson on The Guy Benson Show, which airs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST. And about a week before that, Smith was called upon to fill in on America Newsroom.
Although there may be times when Smith remains out of the public eye, similar to her husband it’s usually because she’s off handling business elsewhere or simply taking a vacation.
Back in May 2022, fans were forced to go nearly two weeks without getting their daily dose of trending news from Smith. Although Smith neglected to address her absence, its likely she was just enjoying some time off from work.
Sandra Smith isn’t very active on Instagram or Facebook either. What is the Fox News co-anchor up to?
It isn’t uncommon for Smith to take a break from social media. In fact, it has been two weeks since Smith posted anything new on Instagram, and February 2023 since we’ve heard any updates from her on Twitter. But that doesn’t mean she’s going anywhere anytime soon.
One of her more recent posts on Instagram was uploaded in honor of of National Girls & Women in Sports Day — it was a throwback pic of Smith from her track days at LSU.
While it’s only natural for fans of Fox News hosts and anchors to grow worried when their favorite person has gone missing from a show, their absence can usually be attributed to something less severe than being terminated.
In 2022, after Jesse Watters went missing in action, fans went bananas trying to figure out if the network had let him go. However, after returning to The Five, Watters confirmed that his absence was due to a minor back injury.

Smith joined Fox News in October 2007 as a reporter for Fox Business Network. Since her start at the network, Smith has held many roles including serving as a moderator for the Fox Business Network’s inaugural Republican presidential primary debate in November 2015.
In 2018, Smith also had the pleasure of providing live coverage of the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Later, she served as the co-anchor of America’s Newsroom and Outnumbered, and would sometimes fill in as a guest anchor on The Story with Martha MacCallum andYour World with Neil Cavuto.
