Canelo Alvarez is willing to negotiate with Sheikh Turki Al-Sheikh to face Benavidez
One of the most anticipated fights could come to Saudi Arabia in 2025

Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez assured that his possible fight against American David Benavidez would only happen if there is a purse of 200 million dollars, something that could come true if Sheikh Turki Al-Sheikh enters the equation.
After the fight against Edgar Berlanga, which took place on September 14 in Las Vegas, the Mexican took a break from the ring and it will not be until the first quarter of 2025 when Alvarez will reveal who his next opponent will be.

In the meantime, several fighters have raised their hands to face the Mexican, from Terrance Crawford to Jake Paul, the latter Canelo did not “listen” after the fight against Mike Tyson in Arlington.
However, Sheikh Turki Al-Sheikh has been interested in bringing high-profile events to Saudi Arabia, and is willing to shell out more than $200 million to bring Canelo to Riyadh.
“I never say no to business”
Interviewed at the opening of the new branch of the taqueria EL Pastor del Rica, located in Chula Vista, San Diego, Canelo does not rule out entering into negotiations with the sheikh if there is something interesting in this proposal.
“I never say no to business… If it’s a good deal for me, I’m open to talking, whatever happens.”

In an interview with the Sway’s Universe podcast, Canelo revealed that in the fights he stars in, 80% of the profits from tickets and other sales go to his coffers.
“I keep 80% of everything, but I risk everything, because I know I make a lot of money, that’s why I keep 80% of the profits… If you drink a soda on the sand, that money is for me.”
That’s why Canelo prefers to advise boxers on how to win properly every time they step into the ring, where they not only put their physical health at risk.
